Gothic arch - watercolor on paper

Hello all dear friends Hivers and welcome back to my blog. My post today is dedicated to Gothic architecture, I photographed a beautiful street corner with a stone arch with a wooden doorway.

A beautiful corner that deserved a watercolor!

In the depiction stage of the painting, I wanted to highlight the limestone of both the Gothic arch and the steps.

I aged the facade and the doorway, and added a light cut in the center.

Arco gotico - acquarello su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Il mio post di oggi è dedicato all'architettura gotica, ho fotografato un bello scorcio di strada con un arco in pietra con un portone in legno.

Un angolo bellissimo che meritava un acquarello!

Nella fase della rappresentazione del dipinto ho voluto evidenziare la pietra calcarea sia dell'arco gotico che degli scalini. Ho invecchiato la facciata e il portone, ed ho aggiunto un taglio di luce al centro. Spero vi piaccia, vi mando un abbraccio pietroso.
