now i saw the pageant of the masters at laguna beach arts festival as a child whwre they have people on stage posing like paintings so well it looks like a painting
and you cant tell
here you cant even see the people jere these look like paintings untill i show you a closeup..they do this on stage adjusting lighting or rotating the set ro just break your brain
see you would have NO IDEA this wasnt just painting...thats people on stage pretending to be flat paintings covered in crazy paint makeup and clothes that are starched and stick to one pose

so yeah its like "hey wanna go pretend ro be a painting with me this summer?"
it really is masterful and a unique art form...trying to appear as a human painting
from back in the audience at the outdoor ampitheatre in the crisp cold sofal beach air at night you see that stage from like 50 to 100 feet away and it really just looks like your seeing paintings its really impressive irl... its undescribable really , they showcase and narrate each painting with a story as real people pose as living art
so heres a video from PBS which is whwre we all learned about ut in the 90s so seeing it IRL was like being in an episode of californias gold or rick steves
made in 1932 as a gimmick to get tourism to laguna beach to buy art lol , i remmeber they had ren and stimpy style adult cartoons on display too
it had that same vibe i felt at an art show swap meet dealio in Tuscon arizona its that cool arizona sedona rich desert night crickets halo star trek tng 90s feeling of watching home improvement
i just miss the 90s so much
