El día viernes 16 de Junio el equipo de @hivemonagas tuvo una presentación en el Instituto Universitario Politécnico "Santiago Mariño" de la ciudad de Maturín, para dar a conocer nuestra Blockchain a los estudiantes de dicha casa de estudios superiores. En la siguiente publicación les cuento cómo fue mi mi experiencia en este evento, algunas anécdotas y algo más.

On Friday, June 16, the @hivemonagas team gave a presentation at the "Santiago Mariño" Polytechnic Institute in the city of Maturín, to introduce our Blockchain to the students of that higher education institution. In the following publication I tell you about my experience in this event, some anecdotes and something else.
Mi día comenzó el día anterior, así es, no me dio tiempo de dormir porque estuve repasando junto a mi colega @soldierofdreams lo que estaríamos abordando en nuestras ponencias mientras realizábamos ajustes a las diapositivas, el día anterior tuvimos varias reuniones pero faltaban detalles por concretar y desde entrada la noche hasta muy tarde en la madrugada estuvimos trabajando en lo que sería la parte visual y la oratoria. Mi colega se desconectó faltando una hora para amanecer, creo que igual no pudo dormir esa hora, yo por mi parte no pude dormir nada porque faltaban un par de diapositivas por modificar y el cerebro ya estaba modo lento.

My day started the day before, that's right, I didn't have time to sleep because I was reviewing with my colleague @soldierofdreams what we would be addressing in our presentations while making adjustments to the slides, the day before we had several meetings but there were details to be finalized and from early in the night until very late at night we were working on what would be the visual and oratorical part. My colleague disconnected an hour before dawn, I think he couldn't sleep that hour either, I couldn't sleep at all because there were a couple of slides to modify and the brain was already in slow mode.
Al terminar mis presentaciones me tomé un café, me duché, me alisté para ir primero a la radio, y luego a la universidad. Así es, a las 8am teníamos que asistir a un programa radial de un periodista colega de mi compañera @yelimarin que nos invitó para hablarles sobre nuestra Blockchain de Hive a sus oyentes, ya saben que en la radio el tiempo es súper medido al igual que en la TV así que la puntualidad es crucial. Yo estuve pendiente que no se me quedara nada de la merch que teníamos para ese día, algunas tazas y stickers y sin darme cuenta ya eran más de las ocho.

After my presentations, I had a coffee, took a shower, got ready to go to the radio station first, and then to the university. That's right, at 8am we had to attend a radio program of a journalist colleague of my partner @yelimarin who invited us to talk to his listeners about our Hive Blockchain, you know that on the radio the time is super measured as on TV so punctuality is crucial. I was attentive that I did not leave anything of the merch we had for that day, some cups and stickers and without realizing it was already more than eight.
Estuve largo rato en la parada y pasaron las 8am, al final tuve que tomar un taxi y pude llegar en el último cuarto de hora del programa. Me dio tiempo de decir algunas palabras y pudimos entregar como obsequio una taza al locutor que nos realizó la entrevista, por cierto las tazas quedaron hermosas. Me acompañó también @soldierofdreams @yelimarin @nathyortiz, cada uno mencionó algunas ventajas que ofrece nuestro ecosistema, estuvieron muy bien. La emisora se llama Radio Fe y Alegría con alcance Nacional, el programa se llama Monagas 360 y es manejado por el periodista locutor José Ignacio Piñango lo pueden ubicar en Twitter como Periodistnacho.

I was at the bus stop for a long time and it was 8am, in the end I had to take a taxi and I could arrive in the last quarter of the program. I had time to say a few words and we could deliver a mug as a gift to the presenter who interviewed us, by the way the mugs were beautiful. Also with me were @soldierofdreams @yelimarin @nathyortiz, each one mentioned some advantages that our ecosystem offers, they were very good. The station is called Radio Fe y Alegría with national reach, the program is called Monagas 360 and is managed by the journalist presenter José Ignacio Piñango you can find him on Twitter as Periodistnacho.
Fue una buena experiencia la de la radio, tanto el locutor como el operador quedaron muy interesados sobre Hive, ya veremos si se animan a crearse una cuenta muy pronto.
A las 9:10am salimos de la emisora rumbo a la universidad y el primer carro que se nos presentó era una chatarra andante, no pude tomarle fotos por el apuro, pero literalmente era una especie de carrocería oxidada con cauchos, allí nos montamos y nos fuimos a la universidad, llegamos en ese auto postapocalíptico sacado de la dimensión Mad Max y el chofer tuvo que bajarse, dar la vuelta y golpear fuertemente como si de una pelea se tratase entre la puerta del copiloto y él, para abrirme y poder salir de semejante monumento, fue muy gracioso, las caras de los estudiantes añadían aún más gracia, que entrada tan extraña, pero el tiempo no nos dio muchas opciones.

At 9:10am we left the station heading to the university and the first car that presented itself to us was a moving junker, I couldn't take pictures because of the hurry, but it was literally a kind of rusty carcass with tires, we got on and went to the university, we arrived in that post-apocalyptic car taken from the Mad Max dimension and the driver had to get down, turn around and hit hard as if it were a fight between the copilot's door and him, to open me and be able to get out of such a monument, it was very funny, the faces of the students added even more fun, what a strange entrance, but time didn't give us many options.
En la universidad nos esperaban @corimarstorys y @cibersk8 los cuales se adelantaron para ir preparando la logística en el lugar. Listos en la sala de usos múltiples, muy bonita por cierto, empezamos a transmitir un video introductorio sobre lo que es Hive de una forma resumida y fácil de entender, este video fue creado por el equipo @hivemonagas, una vez finalizado el video empezamos con la oratoria intentando crear el interés en los estudiantes con las diferentes funciones y capacidades de desarrollo que ofrece Hive Blockchain, abordamos temas tales como descentralización, web3, creación de contenido, tokens, NFTs, NFTGames, Hive como blockchain y Hive como criptomoneda. Cerramos con una ronda de preguntas y respuestas bastante abierta donde hubo muchas preguntas de parte de los estudiantes. En esta parte se vuelve más divertido porque hay más interacción entre los presentes y eso genera interés.
Algo que siempre me emociona es conocer a un Hiver en vida real, eta vez pude conocer a la popular @viviana.fitness, nos acompañó durante el evento junto a otro hiver el amigo @ricardoemt, gracias a ambos por asistir. Aproveché de hacer un pulso con la fuerte Viviana pero me dejó ganar, si ven que su brazo es el doble que el mío.

At the university we were expecting @corimarstorys and @cibersk8, who went ahead to prepare the logistics at the site. Ready in the multipurpose room, very pretty by the way, we started broadcasting an introductory video about what Hive is in a summarized and easy to understand way, this video was created by the @hivemonagas team, once the video was finished we started with the speech trying to create interest in the students with the different functions and development capacities that Hive Blockchain offers, we address topics such as decentralization, web3, content creation, tokens, NFTs, NFTGames, Hive as a blockchain and Hive as a cryptocurrency. We closed with a fairly open round of questions and answers where there were many questions from the students. In this part it gets more fun because there is more interaction between the present and that generates interest.
Something that always excites me is to meet a Hiver in real life, this time I was able to meet the popular @viviana.fitness, she accompanied us during the event along with another hiver the friend @ricardoemt, thanks to both for attending. I took the opportunity to do a pulse with the strong Viviana but she let me win, if you see that her arm is twice as big as mine.
El café no puede faltar al finalizar nuestras ponencias, ya saben que el café es energía, esta vez lo acompañamos con galletas, los presentes pudieron degustar este postre.
También hicimos una serie de entrevistas que saldrán muy pronto. Como dato gracioso, mi colega Yelimarín quería sortear una taza de café con motivo de Hive para el equipo con la esperanza de ganarla, al momento de hacer el sorteo estaban haciendo algunas entrevistas, la primera en tomar un ticket fue Corimar y no ganó, luego yo tomé un ticket y me la gané, así que tengo taza de Hive muy hermosa, mi café tiene un mejor sabor. Espero muy pronto todos en el equipo tengan una, y no solo eso, la comunidad de Hivers en Monagas también.

We also did a series of interviews that will come out very soon. As a funny fact, my colleague Yelimarín wanted to raffle a coffee cup with the Hive motif for the team in the hope of winning it, at the time of the raffle they were doing some interviews, the first to take a ticket was Corimar and she didn't win, then I took a ticket and I won it, so I have a very beautiful Hive cup, my coffee tastes better. I hope very soon everyone on the team has one, and not only that, the Monagas Hivers community too.
Finalizamos a mediodía, a punto de salir empezó a llover muy fuerte y tuvimos que esperar largo rato dentro de la universidad. Luego algunos colegas tomaron otros rumbos por diligencias pendientes mientras que otros nos reunimos a comer algo para poder soportar el camino de regreso a casa.
Fue un día muy productivo, en mi caso dos días, al llegar a casa estaba tan agotado que luego de un baño me apagué, entré en estado de hibernación, pero valió la pena. El trabajo no termina al finalizar una ponencia, luego debemos guiar a los interesados a cómo entrar de la mejor manera según la actividad que quieran realizar en Hive, no todos optan por crear contenido, algunos quieren desarrollar, otros quieren jugar en los diferentes proyectos NFTgames, otros solo socializar y consumir contenido. Guiarlos para que puedan aprovechar el ecosistema de la mejor manera es nuestro trabajo.

We finished at noon, just as we were about to leave it started raining really hard and we had to wait a long time inside the university. Then some colleagues took other routes for pending errands while others of us got together to eat something so we could endure the journey back home.
It was a very productive day, in my case two days, when I got home I was so exhausted that after a bath I turned off, I went into hibernation, but it was worth it. The work does not end when a presentation ends, then we must guide the interested ones on how to enter in the best way according to the activity they want to perform in Hive, not everyone opts to create content, some want to develop, others want to play in the different NFTgames projects, others only socialize and consume content. Guiding them so they can make the most of the ecosystem is our job.
Espero poder seguir dando a conocer a la población estudiantil de mi estado Monagas la existencia y las oportunidades que ofrece la Blockchain de Hive, aunque no limitarme solo a los estudiantes sino a la población en general en otro tipo de eventos y luego iniciar la cripto adopción de nuestra moneda.

I hope to continue spreading the word to the student population of my state Monagas about the existence and opportunities that Hive Blockchain offers, although not limiting myself only to students but to the general population in other types of events and then starting the crypto adoption of our currency.
