Seguro alguna vez te preguntaste como sería escribir un libro, o que conlleva hacerlo. Te voy a contar mi experiencia y todo lo que aprendí al buscar tips o consejos. Sin embargo, lo que me guío o enseñó, fue leer libros. Aprendí cual era su estructura, manera, narrativas, tiempo, personajes, y más.

Desde que tenía 12 años, empecé a escribir las llamadas “Fan fics”, quizás algunas las conocen o no, pero se le llama o llamaba así, a las novelas que tenía por personaje principal a algún famoso, ya sea cantante o actor. En mi caso, mis personajes principales eran Justin Bieber y TN o _______ (tu nombre). Aunque antes de eso, en notas de Facebook yo escribía una novela corta, y por el apoyo que recibí de mis conocidos, me anime a escribir fan fics, y luego entre miles de ideas que tuve, tuve la valentía y tome la decisión de escribir mi primer libro “Lágrimas”. Empecé a escribir a los 15 años, una idea que ya tenía varios años en mente.
- Para mí, mi primer paso fue escribir la sinopsis. ¿Qué es? Existen varios términos, pero en el mundo de la literatura de ficción, es un pequeño resumen que cuente sobre que trata el libro, sin dar todos los detalles. Y ya desde entonces elijes si vas a narrar en primera, segunda o tercera persona. Y en que tiempo lo harás: pasado, presente o futuro. Y mantener lo que elijas desde el inicio hasta el final.
Mi sinopsis fue la siguiente:
Desde muy pequeña, numerosos sucesos han destrozado el corazón de Nicole Dallen, hasta el extremo de sentir que la desdicha no la abandona. Entonces, una mala noticia se hace presente: su padre está muriendo.
Nikki se culpa a sí misma de la muerte de su madre. Todo dentro de ella se romperá al conocer el último deseo de su padre, el cual enfrenta un destino inexorable. Los secretos de su madre amenazan con destruir la vida de Nicole, quien deberá estar muy alerta, ya que existe un espía alia-do con el enemigo y siguiendo sus órdenes, va en busca de su corazón dispuesto a destruirlo.
Dolor, mentiras, incertidumbre y una incesante lucha por encontrar la verdad en medio de un abismo sin fin: todo antes de que sea tarde para proteger a quienes ama.
Esa sinopsis no es exactamente igual a la primera, esta fue cambiada y perfeccionada con los años, hasta llegar a esa versión. Era mas larga y con mas detalles, porque era mi idea principal y la que me guio para saber de que iba a tratar mi historia, fue la base por así decirlo.
Así que mi primer consejo es: toma tu idea y dale forma en una sinopsis, te ayudará a organizar mejor tus ideas, para poder escribir sin perderte del contexto principal o de la historia que deseas contar, sin irte por otro camino.
- Crea el inicio, es decir el primer capítulo y el final o visualiza el final, saber el comienzo, y como terminará, te ayudará a crear el relleno, por así decirlo. Mi inicio fue el capítulo 1, pero puede ser un prólogo o prefacio, pero para mí fue el primer capítulo, donde pude presentar a mi protagonista “Nicole” en un entorno natural, donde podía ser ella misma sin el drama o el dolor que vendría. Y presenté a algunos de los personajes secundarios que tendrían relevancia. Y ya sabía mas o menos cuales serían los posibles finales de la historia de Nicole.
- Crea un esquema con los nombres, edades y datos importantes de los personajes que serán participes, tanto primarios como secundarios o villanos. Para que no olvides como describirlos, física o mentalmente. Te ayudará a no cambiar datos importantes del personaje.
- Imagina el conflicto o clímax que tendrá tu historia, es decir aquello que hará que la historia tenga acción, drama y alce la trama hasta un nivel de suspenso y preocupación a tu lector. Aquello que el lector no espere, y lo deje con ansias de saber el desenlace o resolución.
- Crea un resumen de lo que será cada capítulo, al menos para guiarte, y que tu historia no tome un rumbo que no desees. Sino que siga el camino que quieres que tenga hasta el final esperado. Así pases meses sin escribir, al retomar y leer el resumen del capítulo que vas escribir, te vas a recordar y ubicar en el momento y contexto necesario.
- Visualiza como será tu portada del libro y anótalo. Te ayudará a darle forma a lo que un día querrás que sea tu libro.
Estos son algunos de los consejos que te daría, y que a mí me funcionaron. Y ayudaron a escribir mi primer libro, y aunque siempre podrás editar y cambiar cosas, te ayuda a tener un esquema de lo que deseas hacer sin perderte por las ramas.
PD: Usa el silencio de la noche o música instrumental relajante para escribir, te ayuda a enfocarte y poder escribir sin desenfocarte. O algún lugar lleno de belleza natural, donde puedas sentir la conexión con Dios, y su creación.
Espero que mis consejos y experiencia les sea de gran ayuda, para aquellos que sueñan con escribir o desean y no saben como comenzar, den el primer paso, nunca se arrepentirán. Los sueños solo se cumplen, si te atreves a ir por ellos. Nadie nace escritor, pero el tiempo si nos hace uno.

For me, my first step was to write the synopsis. What is it? There are several terms, but in the world of fiction literature, it's a short summary that tells what the book is about, without giving all the details. And then you choose whether you are going to narrate in first, second or third person. And in what tense you will do it: past, present or future. And keep what you choose from the beginning to the end.
My synopsis was as follows:
From a very young age, numerous events have shattered Nicole Dallen's heart, to the point where she feels that unhappiness won't leave her. Then, bad news breaks: her father is dying.
Nikki blames herself for her mother's death. Everything inside her will shatter as she learns of her father's last wish, which faces an inexorable fate. Her mother's secrets threaten to destroy Nicole's life, who will have to be very alert, since there is a spy allied with the enemy and following his orders, he goes in search of her heart ready to destroy it.
Pain, lies, uncertainty and a relentless struggle to find the truth in the midst of an endless abyss: all before it is too late to protect those she loves.
This synopsis is not exactly the same as the first one, this one was changed and perfected over the years, until reaching this version. It was longer and with more details, because it was my main idea and the one that guided me to know what my story was going to be about, it was the base so to speak.
So my first advice is: take your idea and shape it into a synopsis, it will help you organize your ideas better, so you can write without losing the main context or the story you want to tell, without going down another path.
- Create the beginning, i.e. the first chapter and the end or visualize the end, knowing the beginning, and how it will end, will help you create the filler, so to speak. My beginning was chapter 1, but it can be a prologue or preface, but for me it was the first chapter, where I was able to introduce my main character "Nicole" in a natural setting, where she could be herself without the drama or pain that would come. And I introduced some of the secondary characters that would have relevance. And I already knew more or less what the possible endings of Nicole's story would be.
- Create an outline with the names, ages and important data of the characters that will be involved, both primary and secondary or villains. So that you don't forget how to describe them, physically or mentally. It will help you not to change important data of the character.
- Imagine the conflict or climax that your story will have, that is, what will make the story have action, drama and raise the plot to a level of suspense and concern to your reader. That which the reader does not expect, and leaves him or her anxious to know the outcome or resolution.
- Create a summary of what each chapter will be, at least to guide you, so that your story doesn't take a direction you don't want it to take. Instead, it should follow the path you want it to take until the expected ending. Even if you go months without writing, when you go back and read the summary of the chapter you are going to write, you will remember and place yourself in the necessary moment and context.
- Visualize what your book cover will look like and write it down. It will help you shape what you want your book to look like one day.
These are some of the tips I would give you, and they worked for me. And they helped me write my first book, and while you can always edit and change things, it helps you have an outline of what you want to do without getting lost in the shuffle.
**PS: Use the silence of the night or relaxing instrumental music to write, it helps you focus and be able to write without getting unfocused. Or some place full of natural beauty, where you can feel the connection with God, and his creation.
I hope my advice and experience will be of great help to you, for those who dream of writing or wish to write and don't know how to start, take the first step, you will never regret it. Dreams only come true if you dare to go for them. No one is born a writer, but time does make us one.
