Hoy en mi país comienza el año escolar para todo el sistema educativo que va desde el nivel preescolar hasta el bachillerato. Es un momento de muchas emociones en la entrada de las escuelas y liceos. Desde algarabías, risas, abrazos por el rencuentro, también hay llantos, miedo a los desconocido, es un momento especial cada año escolar.
En los preparativos y preámbulo de clase esta la fase de acomodar los útiles escolares, es un evento que reúne a los niños con su madre. La colación del papel protector, la colocación de los stickers de identificación personal. También es motivo de debate cual cuaderno será asignado para cada materia. Me recuerdo también como cada año se les decía a mis tres hijos “no vayas a botar las reglas o las tejieras, no hay dinero para comprar a cada rato unas nuevas” ja ja ja, eso eran pablaras al viento debido a que antes del primer lapso ya se habían perdidos casi todos esas herramientas.
Sin embargo la esencia del recuerdo que me evoca la imagen fue una reciente conversación con mi querido padre. El a sus 82 años de edad sigue dando clases en una prestigiosa universidad de la ciudad. Sus asignaturas predilectas es el son Dibujo técnico y geometría las cuales le imparte a los estudiantes de Ingeniería.
En nuestra tertulia sobre la calidad de la educación actualmente, el mencionaba el escaso o nulo manejo de la regla y de las escuadras para el trazado de líneas y ángulos. No solamente el desconocer sus funciones, sino el de las destrezas para desplazarlas sobre un plano. Aunque ustedes no lo crean esas destrezas se adquieren en la época de la escuelas, desde preescolar, es ese nivel donde las maestras deben enseñar a los alumnos a jugar con estas herramientas.
Hoy en día en la educación se pierde cada vez más espacio el enseñar habilidades manuales y técnicas privilegiando el uso de la tecnología, pero es necesario que una persona tenga un aprendizaje equilibrado.
