Como cada jueves de recuerdos, aquí les comparto mi participación de hoy, jueves 28 de marzo de 2024 en el Concurso de Tbt convocado por nuestro amigo José Lanz, @lanzjoseg, para la comunidad #topfamiliy. Hoy, como cada semana, disfruto revisando mi baúl de recuerdos, entre fotos de álbumes, y muchas otras guardadas en cajitas porque no tengo más álbumes donde colocarlas. Y entre todas ellas, me encontré estas imágenes de una Semana Santa muy bonita.
Poco antes de mi matrimonio, y cuando estaba recién casada, tuve la oportunidad de conocer un lugar paradisíaco de Venezuela, la Península de Araya en el estado Sucre. La familia de mi esposo en ése entonces, tenía una casita de playa cerca del pueblo, en la ruta hacia la empresa Ensal, y recuerdo que la parte frontal daba hacia una enorme placa de sal compacta donde nos parábamos con un poco de miedo pensando que podía partirse.

Today, as every week, I enjoy going through my trunk of memories, among photos from albums, and many others kept in little boxes because I have no more albums where to put them. And among all of them, I found these images of a very nice Holy Week.
Shortly before my marriage, and when I was just married, I had the opportunity to visit a paradisiacal place in Venezuela, the Araya Peninsula in the state of Sucre. My husband's family at that time, had a small beach house near the town, on the road to the Ensal company, and I remember that the front part faced a huge compact salt plate where we stood with a little fear thinking that it could break.
La parte posterior de la casa, quedaba frente a la playa, totalmente privada y no porqué nadie pudiera llegar, sino que estaba tan retirada del pueblo que por ahí no pasaba ni un alma, sólo los botes con los pescadores que regresaban amaneciendo de su labor cotidiana, y les comprábamos pescado y otras cosas recién salidos del mar.
The back part of the house was in front of the beach, totally private and not because no one could reach it, but because it was so far away from the town that not a soul passed by, only the boats with the fishermen returning from their daily work, and we bought fish and other things fresh from the sea
En mi foto inicial, posé al lado de un bote que estaba anclado cerca de la playa, se ve muy simple, pero las olas lo bailoteaban tanto que casi me tumba. No pude posar mucho rato, jajaja, un poco más y me revuelca en el agua. Pero todo sea por conservar una buena foto de recuerdo. Esta imagen data del año 1989, al igual que todas las demás. Les comparto las otras fotos para darle más forma a mi contexto.
El viaje de ida lo hicimos por mar desde Puerto La Cruz a bordo de una chalana o palita (creo que así se llaman), y el de regreso lo hicimos por tierra, pasando por todos los pueblos sucrenses que vienen desde Araya hasta Monagas. Fue un paseo inolvidable, y de ahí guardo este paisaje que capturé en la vía.
In my initial photo, I posed next to a boat that was anchored near the beach, it looks very simple, but the waves were dancing it so much that it almost knocked me over. I couldn't pose for long, hahaha, a little more and I'd be rolling in the water. But anything to keep a good photo as a souvenir. This picture dates from 1989, like all the others. I share with you the other photos to give more shape to my context.
The outbound trip we made by sea from Puerto La Cruz aboard a "chalana" or "palita" (I think that's what they are called), and the return trip we made by land, passing through all the Sucre towns that come from Araya to Monagas.It was an unforgettable ride, and from there I keep this landscape that I captured on the road.
