I think a crucial factor that contributes to the greatness of a project is the community of people supporting it. What particularly draws me to WOO - Wrestling Organization Online and makes it a favorite in my Hive journey is the fantastic community that @bookerman and his team have built on the WOO Discord page.
It's basically the first and only community I joined on Hive because it offers everything I needed and likely will need on this blockchain. It's a community where individuals from all over the world unite to support each other, respond to Hive and WOO-related questions, and enjoy playing the WOO game(currently in public beta) while earning $WOO tokens.
I am a wrestling lover, gamer, and blogger. The way WOO has seamlessly brought together all these aspects on the Hive Blockchain truly excites me. The huge advantage is that I'd get the opportunity to interact with some of the wrestling legends I watched on TV while growing up, as an AMA has been scheduled to take place this tuesday. WOO essentially partners with retired wrestlers (my legends) and creates NFTs of them, which are sold in the WOO market. And guess what? 100% of the market fees go to these legends of mine, essentially becoming a form of pension for them.
As I mentioned in a previous post, given that these wrestlers are classified as independent contractors, it implies that the organization employing them is not required to provide a retirement plan. Consequently, many of them end up facing struggles as they have no financial support to rely on after incurring various expenses throughout their lives.
Were you aware that WWE only covers the travel expenses related to the plane ticket for wrestlers, while any other traveling costs must be borne by the wrestlers themselves? Surprising, isn't it? Essentially, all their earnings could end up being used for expenses.
