WOO Game is essentially a platform that merges territorial wrestling with blockchain technology. As a player, you assume the role of your wrestling promotion, constructing your roster and acquiring land while traversing cities to compete against other wrestling promotions (opponents) and earn $WOO tokens. The crux is, the existence of WOO Game relies on land NFTs. Much like how humans need Earth, the game cannot thrive without them.
Can you play the game without having a land NFT? Yes! All you need to play the Woo Game is your wrestler NFT cards. If you also want to earn while playing when rewards go live somewhere early next year, you'd need your booker's licenses, which cost $10, similar to the Splinterlands Spellbook.
Why then is land so important? Well, every show in the Woo Game takes place on Woo land. There's a limit to how many shows a player can host on a specific land in a day, and that's why you have to travel to different cities (lands) in the game if you want to keep playing and earning.
This is done so people don't fixate on one particular city and are forced to explore other cities. Here's the other thing: the bigger the city in terms of upgrades, the more a player can earn hosting a show there. So, by that logic, every player would want the most upgraded land. This is why upgrading your city is super important because it incentivizes players to host shows there, and as they do, a percentage of the prize pool ($WOO tokens) earned for a show will be given to the landowner.

Cities or WOO lands are essentially a passive way you can earn from the WOO Game. Currently, the minimum price for a land is $20 USD, which you can purchase using WOO bucks or other cryptocurrencies and tokens listed in the marketplace. You can also purchase it on the P2P platform in the WOOGame where if you get lucky you can get it for less the price. Well, it's an NFT, so the value can and probably will change, making it advisable to get yours now while it's still affordable.
