Yesterday, my wife and kids went to a birthday party hosted by my in-laws. It was for my wife’s sister’s daughter’s birthday and her son’s Aqeeqa ceremony, so they had organized a big event for both occasions. The children’s father lives abroad in the UAE, and whenever he visits Pakistan, he arranges a big party like this to gather everyone together and catch up with family all at once. The party was held at Seth Jee Restaurant, where I’ve been before and even posted about it, mentioning that it’s quite an expensive place. But when it comes to overseas Pakistanis, who cares about expensive or cheap? Haha, just a little joke.
At the party, I wasn’t in the mood to take pictures, but I took a few anyway for a photography contest. When I reviewed them for a post, I realized they weren’t anything special, and many were out of focus. Still, I won’t let them go to waste for the contest, haha.
Now, about the pictures – there was this grand, large horse there that surprised me because it wasn’t there on my previous visit. It looked amazing in real life, even if it wasn’t as striking in photos. The kids were thrilled because they’re very fond of horses, although they were a bit scared of how big this one was.
The party itself was fantastic, from the cake-cutting to the food – everything was enjoyable. The cake was good, and the food was even better, especially the BBQ items with garlic naan. Plus, all the kids received goody bags.
At Seth Jee Restaurant, they have swings and a nice environment for children, so it’s a good place for families to spend time. There are activities for the kids along with the food, though, again, it’s pricey. But we all had a great time!
