Whitetail deer-phone photography

This post is a promo for the Phonography Contest in the FeelGood Community. I love having a place that appreciates photos taken with my phone.
Contest prizes include Ecency Points, HSBI, ARCHON and LOH tokens

There are times when you have a chance to take photos and you don't have a camera close at hand. I am glad that phone cameras have improved so that we can get decent photos anytime!

As the sun was going down, the neighborhood deer herd was having dinner in the soybean field at the top of the hill.

It's easy to see why these are called Whitetail Deer. When alarmed, they raise their tail as they run away in an act called “flagging”.

The street in my neighborhood that takes you to the top of the hill where these pictures were taken is appropriately named Whitetail Lane.

This doe and her two fawns have been a common sight in my yard all summer. They eat a lot and it makes me wonder how many bushels of soybeans this farmer loses to feeding the deer!

As the sun gets lower in the sky, more and more deer come out of the woods.
Attention was turned toward the sky and taking pictures of the Comet but by one count just before it got too dark to see them there were 20 deer in the field.
