Flowers on the Road
At the beginning of the week, I went to the customer service office of the company with which I have contracted the internet and cable television services in my home, in order to replace the decoder for a recent equipment and continue enjoying the cable programming.
The replacement of the device was free of charge, I simply handed over the old one and signed a paper certificate where I was given a new one.
After leaving the office, I decided to walk briefly around the shopping mall where it is located, and later, I went out to the avenue with the intention of taking some pictures of the environment, finding a street vendor selling flowers on one side of the sidewalk.
A inicios de la semana, fuí hasta la oficina de atención al cliente de la empresa con la que tengo contratado los servicios de internet y televisión por cable de mi hogar, con la finalidad de sustituir el decodificador por un equipo reciente y seguir disfrutando de la programación por cable.
El reemplazo del dispositivo no tuvo costo alguno, simplemente entregué el viejo y firmé una constancia en papel donde se me hacía entrega de uno nuevo.
Luego de abandonar la oficina, decidí recorrer a pié brevemente el centro comercial donde está ubicado, y posteriormente, salí a la avenida con la intención de tomar algunas fotos del entorno, encontrándome con un vendedor ambulante de flores a un costado de la acera.
Although the weather was quite cloudy and it was threatening to rain, I decided to go over to the stall, where, among other varieties of flowers, there were some huge sunflowers, which seemed to be a bit wilted, probably due to the sweltering heat that has hit the city the last couple of months.
There was also a rather striking bunch of red roses, as well as other species that I don't know, however, while I was taking some pictures of the flowers for sale with the permission of the owners or tenants of the small shop on the avenue, the threats of rain materialized, so I had to return to the shopping center where I had left my car parked.
Fortunately, it was only a light drizzle, but I had already started my return home.
Aunque el tiempo estaba bastante nublado y amenazaba con llover, decidí acercarme hasta el puesto de ventas, donde destacaban, entre otras variedades de flores, unos enormes girasoles, los cuales parecían estar un poco marchitos, probablemente por el sofocante calor que ha azotado a la ciudad el último par de meses.
También había un manojo bastante llamativo de rosas rojas, así como otras especies que desconozco, sin embargo, mientras tomaba algunas fotos de las flores en venta con el permiso de los propietarios o arrendatarios del pequeño local en la avenida, las amenazas de lluvia se materializaron, por lo que devolverme hasta el centro comercial donde había dejado mi carro estacionado.
Afortunadamente, tan solo fue una pequeña llovizna, pero ya había iniciado el retorno a casa.
