Ants are one of the most successful and widespread insects in the world, they are social insects that have a very specialized society.
In the ants, all we find are female ants, they are the ones in charge of the role of soldiers, mushroom farmers who are the ones who eat, collectors of leaves or insects which are the raw material for the mushrooms they eat, etc.
Many of those who have seen ants will have in their mind or assume that they are small but there are species like the one shown in the photo that in Venezuela is called bachaco which is almost as big as a human thumb and among ants it is a titan.

Las hormigas son uno de los insectos mas exitosos y extendidos por el mundo, son insectos sociales que tiene una sociedad muy especializada.
En las hormigas todas las que nos encontramos son hormigas hembras, son las que se encargan en el rol de soldados, agricultores de hongos que son los que comen, recolectores de hojas o insectos que son la materia prima de los hongos que comen, etc.
Muchos de los que han visto hormigas tendrán en su mente o supondrán que son pequeñas pero hay especies como la que se muestra en la foto que en Venezuela es llamado bachaco que es casi tan grande como un pulgar humano y entre las hormigas es un titan.
