Andrew Kishore Is No More On Earth

Andrew Kishore Kumar Barai was a Bangladeshi singer. He was born in 4 Novemver 1955 in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He was better known as Andrew Kishore.

Generally he sang folk music, pop song and movie song. He sung many songs for many films in Bangladesh. Not only Bangladesh, he also sung for other countries. So he was known as the ‘Playback Emperor’.
From the age of six he started learning music lessons. After the independence of Bangladesh, he was listed in Nazrul Giti, Rabindra Sangeet, folk music and patriotic song section of Rajshahi Betar. His fisrt song of the film was 'Ochinpurer Rajkumari Nei' from the film 'Mail Train(1977)'. He won his first National Film Award in the Best Male Singer category for the song 'Hayre Manush Rongin Fanush' from the film 'Tini Boro Valo Lok Chhilo(1982)'. He won National Film Award more 7th times for his film songs. He also won Bachsus Award two times, Meril-Prothom Alo award two times and many other awards. He was being get treatment for a long time in Singapore General hospital for blood cancer. But he didn't get rid from cancer. On 11 June 2020, he returned to the Bangladesh due to resignation. This famous singer died in Rajshahi, Bangladesh on 6 July 2020 at the age of 84.
