How important solar energy is

Solar energy is very important for our life. If there was no sun, there would be no life on earth and there would always be night on earth. Light and heat are the most important things we get from the sun. When the sun rises, light spreads everywhere and darkness is suppressed. Sunlight is needed by mankind, animals, and plants too. It is very essential for the good health of human beings. It increases the balance of vitamin D in the human body. But staying in sunlight for a long time can also harm the human body. So be careful.

We also get heat from sunlight, which we need the most during cold days. We also need sunlight to dry our clothes. Apart from this, there are many other benefits of sunlight, but today I will talk about solar panels, which convert solar energy into electricity, which is being used in homes nowadays. With this electricity, you can also light bulbs, run fans, and run air-conditions. Solar induction and solar cookers have also been manufactured for cooking. In this way the cost of LPG gas is also saved as well as that of electricity.

Solar Cooker

Today I read an article which mentioned a couple who live in Bengaluru cook their own food in a solar cooker and save 20,000 rupees (around $263) a year. Saving that much money in a year is not a joke. It currently costs around Rs 950 (approximately $13) to refill LPG gas in India. Earlier the good amount of subsidy was available from the government. But it is now completely reduced. In such a condition, a solar cooker or solar induction appears to be a good option. However, it will cost you initially to take a solar cooker or induction. After that the chances of spending are very less. Our government also recommends using solar products. But in my knowledge there are very few people who use solar products nowadays.

I have a friend whom I have known for almost 14 years. Earlier there was no electricity in his village. His father used to work in a government power company but there was no electricity in his own village. One day a vendor from Tata Solar Power went to his village to sell solar panel. My friend's father bought two solar panels of 40 watt each from them. The electricity generated by these solar panels used to run bulbs and a fan in his house. Later the electricity came in his village also. They took a connection from them and sold one of the 40 watt panels. I think it was his mistake. At present, the government is paying more attention to solar power. My friends bought solar panels about 20 years ago. These panels are still working fine. Anyway, the warranty of solar panels is about 25 years, according to Solar Company.

In future, I want to buy solar panels to cut my home electricity bills.
