I'm creating classic and easy cocktails for all of us to make, previously I made a mojito but today it's Aperol's turn.
Aperol Spritz
Aperol is a drink created in Italy and on the same bottle it says that in the year 1919. But its history dates back to the 1800s when after a war some foreigners took possession of northern Italy and these foreigners had the custom to drink wine but the particular thing is that they drank it diluted with a splash of water, eventually they wanted to drink something a little stronger and that was when the aperol was added to the drink. Now, in 1919 it was put on the market by the Barbieri brothers, and yet it did not become popular in Italy until after the 1950s and in the rest of the world it began to become popular at the beginning of this 21st century.
La elaboración de un Aperol Spritz es algo sumamente fácil y solo necesitamos:
- Aperol
- Prosecco
- Agua con gas
- Slice de naranja
Making an Aperol Spritz is extremely easy and we only need:
- Aperol
- Prosecco
- Sparkling Water
- Slice of orange
The important thing when we make this type of refreshing cocktails is that we must cool our glass and this is done so that our drinks are at their optimal point. Cold or ice allows us a perfect fusion between distillates and juices. So here we start by filling our glass with ice, we let the glass cool and keep the ice in it, we also remove any water that has been created.
And now we will directly add 2 ounces of Aperol
We continue and add the Prosecco, at the bar I am using an Italian one from the Cinzano brand. Here I added approximately 3 ounces. I did it directly because I already know the proportion in the glass, ideally it should be 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol.
And now we will add a splash of sparkling water, this is where the Spritz comes from, which would really be a translation from German. Spritz means squirt/splash.
The last touch would be to decorate with a slice of orange, I like to dip it a little so that it can add to the cocktail.
And now we have this cocktail ready. I should emphasize that this is an aperitif and is drunk before a meal but I really think this rule differs a lot with this cocktail, since many people enjoy it at any time of the day.
