Herding Photographing Cats!

We cats are magically photogenic, which is why were are often consider the unofficial mascots of the Interwebz! However... we also have an amazing knack for not being in the right place for the camera.

And we know when we're being photographed, so we hurriedly start doing something else....

I must CLEAN myself before I can be photographed!

Those seemingly "perfect" photos of me?

According to the Dad-Hooman, for each "decent" photo, there are probably fifty that went into the trash can... for this reason or that.

Because cats move a lot...

Just need to check the underside of my cat tower... hang on a sec...

And we don't necessarily give you the neat pose you want, either!

How about a big sneeze, instead?

Of course, there are also the funny things...

Some of them are quite small, and we don't actually notice until the photos are on the screen and ready to be cropped and processed.

Bløp!

The other fun aspect it that we are a multiple pet household. And Daisy the dog just can't stand to not be in the middle of everything.

Which results in a few photo bombs!

What the hay? Nice shot, but where the hell did the dog come from? Yes, Daisy if wearing the "collar of shame" because she has a scratch on her head that needs to heal...

Anyway, hope you enjoyed a few of our outtakes... overall, photography is a lot of fun, particularly when it involves cats!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
