What I Crocheted Today|| Octopus Pouch

Hi guys! So I made a Crochet Octopus Pouch today which is super easy and fast. You can use this pouch to put your lip balm and mirror (just like I did hehe) or Your earpiece, lipstick, hairband, and Airpods can also fit inside.

I was scrolling through YouTube to look for a cute pouch I could make, and I found this. I thought it would consume too much of my time, but it didn't so yay!

It looks quite small from the picture but trust me, it's not, and it's not too big either.

I thought the pattern would be complicated, but it turned out it was just our basic crochet stitch and pattern, so I'm sure it's something you can do in less than 3hours.

I decided to play a little with the colors, so I used pink to make the legs, it's cute isn't it? You can make this in rainbow colors, and just have fun with it ( just like I did hihihišŸ˜‰)

Process

  • Make a magic ring and chain 1.

  • Row 1 Chain 8sc into the magic ring and then pull to fasten off.

  • Row 2 increase in every stitch.

  • Row 3 1sc and then increase in the next.

  • Row 4 2sc, Inc.

  • Row 5 Slip stitch, Inc., 2sc,

  • Row 6 40sc and make sure it's back look only.

  • Row7 4sc and inc.

  • Row 8 Sc (Repeat this pattern until you get your desired height)

  • Row 9 10sc and Dec.

  • Row 10 4sc, Dec, 5sc

  • Row 11 chain 3, skip two stitches, and on the third dc, chain 2 skip two stitches and on third, dc. (You don't need to chain 3 again, just chain 2, skip two stitches, and hdc).

  • Row 12 Sc, 3hdc, Sc

Note for row 8, you can make 10 rows of slip st depending on what you want, before you head up to row 9.

To make the legs
Slip stitch, chain 2, double crochet, 2treble crochet into the same stitch, double crochet, chain 2, and then slip st.

To make the nose
Make a magic ring, chain 1, 6slip st inside the magic ring, repeat and you're done. Use your darning needle to attach your nose.
I used my needle with a black yarn to sew in the eyes. And for the blush, I used a pink yarn.

For the rope, I made a chain, I can't remember how many but you can chain as long as you want. Make sure it's not too long tho. And then I added beads to it for extra safety and hold.
And voila your Octopus Pouch is ready.
