Hola, aquí les muestro un trabajo que es casi mi primera vez haciendo máscaras o por lo menos haciéndola conscientemente, esta trata de un antiguo dios egipcio, por lo que le contaré más o menos quién es y parte de la historia y proceso de esta máscara.

Lo primero es que la escogencia de este dios viene dada porque en el grupo de estudio donde estoy me toco investigar sobre la diosa Sekmeth y resulta que Ptah es su esposo, ella es diosa de la destrucción, mientras Ptah es el dios de la creación, del fuego y los artesanos, de allí me surgió la idea de hacer esta máscara, ya que soy orfebre, trabajador del fuego y los metales, se puede decir que me sentí identificado.

Esta máscara forma parte de las actividades del estudio y eran para la festividad en conmemoración de los muertos y fin de año pagano o como popularmente se conoce como Hallowen.

Para elaborarlo pensé en varias maneras y vi tutoriales, pero me pareció más práctico elaborar la base de la máscara con cartulina e ir confiando en el proceso y mi capacidad de resolución, por lo que en el proceso cometí algunos errores que iré comentando, pero al final realice una buena mascara.

Elementos usados:

• Cartulina
• Tijera y exacto.
• Pega blanca.
• Pega de barra.
• Papel azul.
• Piel sintética.
• Marcadores y lápices de colores.
• Pistola de silicona y silicona de barra.
• Pincel.

Pasos

Por medio de un papel y un lápiz, calque la silueta de mi cara, fui recortando y después traspase la silueta a la cartulina.

Recorte la cartulina con la tijera.

Hice una silueta de los ojos y luego recorte.

Hice una silueta triangular de la que será la nariz, tome de referencia la mía propia, agregue pestañas para poder pegar.

Doble la nariz y le di forma, quedando algo así. Pegue la nariz con silicona usando la pistola.

Recorte tiras de papel azul para ir pegando con pega de barra, bajo este proceso era mejor usar la pega líquida, pero no la tenía a la mano en ese momento.

Hice los pliegues o dobleces para darle forma a la máscara luego.

Así va quedando la mascará mientras se pegan las tiras de papel.

Así queda después de pegar todas las tiras de papel.

Empecé a hacer los detalles de los ojos y las cejas con marcador.

Hice los dobleces de la máscara mientras me la ponía y veía en el espejo, todo fue muy intuitivo, también le di detalles a al rostro usando lápices de color, esto le dio una textura de color bastante interesante.

Aplique más detalles con marcador, pero ya la mascará esta casi lista.

Así me quedo superbién. Le agregue la chiva recortada con piel sintética igual que las cejas, que pegue con silicona caliente, para darle resistencia y brillo le aplique una capa de pega blanca. El día de ponérmela le puse una cinta negra, pero lamentablemente me puse la máscara con el cabello mojado y sé salio... Pero allí resolvimos... La próxima debería hacer un refuerzo por la parte interna de la máscara.

Steps

Using a paper and a pencil, I traced the silhouette of my face, cut it out and then transferred the silhouette to the cardboard.

Cut out the cardboard with the scissors.

I made a silhouette of the eyes and then cut out.

I made a triangular silhouette of what will be the nose, I used my own nose as a reference and added tabs to glue.

I folded the nose and gave it a shape like this. Glue the nose with silicone using the gun.

Cut out strips of blue paper to glue with glue stick, under this process it was better to use the liquid glue, but I didn't have it at hand at the time.

I made the folds or creases to shape the mask later.

I started to make the details of the eyes and eyebrows with marker.

I made the folds of the mask while I was putting it on and looking in the mirror, it was all very intuitive, I also gave details to the face using colored pencils, this gave it a very interesting color texture.

I applied more details with marker, but the mask is almost ready.

This way it looks great. I added the chiva trimmed with synthetic leather as the eyebrows, which I glued with hot silicone, to give it strength and shine I applied a layer of white glue. The day I put it on I put a black ribbon, but unfortunately I put the mask on with wet hair and it came off.... But there we solved... Next time I should make a reinforcement on the inside of the mask.
