The Weekly Woodpeckers Update

Good Evening everyone, Chief Woodpecker here with another update on the Hive-Woodpeckers

It has been a rather eventful week since the last post.
My cordless drill died, so we were using a hand drill which is a beauty of a thing to use, but when it has a stuck chuck with a metal drill bit in it, this makes it one hell of a nightmare to even try to use for wood working.

But alas we now have a new drill!

An Einhell 18V Combi Drill set up, which wasn't actually too costly. I had been eyeing it up since my drill died as I have their mitre saw and it works well and has treated me well this last year or so.
It has been sitting around the £80 to £90 region for a while now, but I chanced upon it discounted which was amazing. It set me back £60.00 but so far it looks like it was worth it for sure.

Next up I bought a belt sander to try to make my wood prep a lot quicker.

This thing turned out to be a bloody deathtrap!
The clamp that holds the belt on seems to have snapped, resulting in the belt spinning free, melting the plastic casing and taking a chunk out of one of my fingers, much to my displeasure.
Along with the wound I was also covered in molten plastic which burnt like a bitch and wasn't what I had been expecting.
Luckily the kids weren't near me when this happened so they are all unscathed.

It has now left me with a bit of an injury that has been very annoying to care for as its the end of my index finger which is my most used bloody finger.

But hey ho on we go.

I have the next week and a bit off as the kids are away on their holidays, so I am hoping to get a new sander and a ton of wood prepped for when they come back towards the end of August.

Then we start the Halloween decorations!!!
Spookey eh

Big up to @bitcoinman who's been a great help too and also @stickupcurator, @brosonleo and @raymondspeaks for being awesome!
