Hola amigos 😀 deseo que estén muy bien el día de hoy. En mi país estamos en días festivos por el asueto de carnaval 🎭 la mayoría de mis vecinos y algunos familiares andan por fuera disfrutando de las comparsas y demás desfiles que suelen realizarse. Desde hace unos cuantos años yo dejé de asistir, aunque es una de las celebraciones que más me gustan. Encontré una manera muy cómoda de ver los desfiles desde la comodidad de mi hogar, lejos del alboroto y el bullicio. Para aquel tiempo los canales de tv 📺 con señal abierta incluían dentro de su programación la transmisión de estas fiestas. Al cabo de algunos años ya ni siquiera tenemos señal abierta y por ende no veo nada relacionado con los desfiles de carnaval de mi ciudad. ¡Es triste 😭 no poder asistir, pero mi salud no me lo permite!

Hello friends 😀 I hope you are very well today. In my country we are in holidays for the carnival break 🎭 most of my neighbors and some relatives are out enjoying the comparsas and other parades that usually take place. Since a few years ago I stopped attending, although it is one of the celebrations that I like the most. I found a very comfortable way to watch the parades from the comfort of my home, away from the hustle and bustle. At that time the TV channels 📺 with open signal included in their programming the transmission of these celebrations. After a few years we don't even have an open signal anymore and therefore I don't watch anything related to the carnival parades in my city. It's sad 😭 not to be able to attend, but my health doesn't allow me to do so!

Aprovechando la tranquilidad y el silencio me puse a ordenar algunas cosas, encontrando una de las dos bolsas de #hive que recibí como regalo el año pasado. Tenía esta en la reserva porque quería hacer con ella una transformación. Resulta que estas bolsas son muy grandes, ideales para guardar la guata o algodón para relleno 😊 pero para eso ya tengo la otra bolsa 🛍️ entonces puse manos a la obra y dije "bolsa se llegó el momento de reproducirte".

Taking advantage of the tranquility and silence I started to sort some things, finding one of the two #hive bags I received as a gift last year. I had this one in reserve because I wanted to make a transformation with it. It turns out that these bags are very large, ideal for storing wadding or cotton for stuffing 😊 but for that I already have the other bag 🛍️ so I put my hands to work and said "bag the time has come to reproduce you".

Para empezar con la transformación necesité de varias herramientas y materiales:

• La bolsa 🛍️ de HIVE.
• Tijeras.
• Clips 🖇️
• Sellador de bolsas.
• Hilo 🧵 y aguja 🪡 para coser.
• Sticker de hive.

To start with the transformation I needed several tools and materials:

• HIVE's 🛍️ bag.
• Scissors.
• Clips 🖇️
• Bag sealer.
• Thread 🧵 and needle 🪡 for sewing.
• HIVE sticker.

El procedimiento fue bastante sencillo, aunque tuve que hacer todo con mucho cuidado. El tipo de tela con la que está elaborada la bolsa es de un material sintético, algo así como un compuesto con plástico. Por ello decidí usar la selladora para agilizar el proceso.

• Lo primero que hice fue estirar muy bien la bolsa. Decidir por dónde comenzar a cortar sin dañar el diseño que la bolsa trae.
• Guiándome con los mismos dobleces de la bolsa empecé a cortar solo los dos laterales dejando ver por completo todo el diseño de hive en ese primer corte.
• Tomé ambas partes de esa pieza resultante, los voltie y coloqué reverso con reverso. Sujeté con clips 🖇️ para trabajar más cómodamente.

The procedure was quite simple, although I had to do everything very carefully. The type of fabric from which the bag is made is a synthetic material, something like a composite with plastic. So I decided to use the sealer to speed up the process.

• The first thing I did was to stretch the bag very well. Deciding where to start cutting without damaging the design that the bag comes with.
• Guided by the same folds of the bag I started to cut only the two sides leaving completely visible all the hive design in that first cut.
• I took both sides of the resulting piece, flipped them over and placed back to back. I fastened with clips 🖇️ to work more comfortably.

• Lo segundo que hice fue marcar las líneas por donde luego iba a coser. Para ello usé la selladora quien de una vez pegó cada una de las piezas de la bolsa 🛍️ justo por las orillas.

• The second thing I did was to mark the lines where I was going to sew. To do this I used the sealer who glued each of the pieces of the bag 🛍️ right along the edges.

• Lo tercero que hice fue tomar los dos laterales que le corté a la bolsa. Medí y corté para obtener cuatro bolsas más pequeñas, pero sin nada del diseño de hive. Me encantó haber usado toda la tela. No sé desperdicio nada. Incluso me alcanzó para hacer las asas a dos bolsitas.
• El proceso fue el mismo. Con la selladora pegué los tres laterales por las orillas para luego coser.

• The third thing I did was to take the two sides I cut off the bag. I measured and cut to get four smaller bags, but without any of the hive design. I loved that I used all the fabric. I didn't waste any of it. I even had enough to make handles for two bags.
• The process was the same. With the sealer I glued the three sides along the edges and then sewed.

• Tomé la aguja 🪡 y el 🧵 hilo de color blanco y realicé una costura tipo basteado por cerca de la línea del sellado. Esto hará que las bolsitas estén más protegidas contra roturas. De todos modos las usaré solo para transportar mis creaciones más livianas.
• Finalmente le coloqué a cada una de las bolsitas pequeñas un sticker de HIVE, los que tenía disponibles.

• I took the 🪡 needle and the 🧵 white colored 🧵 thread and made a baste stitch along the sealing line. This will make the sachets more protected against tearing. I will only use them to transport my lighter creations anyway.
• Finally I attached a HIVE sticker to each of the small bags, the ones I had available.

¡Me quedaron preciosas! Ahora tengo cinco bolsas en vez de una. Estoy segura que ahora sí le daré más uso 😃 ¿Qué te ha parecido esta idea? Mi bolsa de hive se ha reproducido 😂 ahora tiene cuatro bolsitas 😉
