Unique Earring Making With Gum, Thread, and Beads

A happy and wonderful weekend to you all! Today I decided that I have to make a unique earring and share it with you. It was not really easy for me with work and other family issues. But in order to keep life moving, I have to schedule and make earrings to present to the community. I chose to make the earring unique from other earrings that I have been presenting. At least, this is to also improve my jewelry-making skills.

I chose to make the earring unique through the combination of threads, beads, and gum for the assembling. The earring may look simple to the eye but the threads and color combination of beads gave it a touch. The truth is that the earring came to me as inspiration and I decided to make it the way I saw it and I believe that the earring is not in existence anywhere. This is why I regard the earring to be unique.
I just hope that you love the earring the way it is and finds it easy to make by following the steps that I will be providing to you.

What were the steps taken in making the earring?

Step 1:

I have to arrange all the materials mentioned to be used in one place. After I did that, I have to use the scissors to cut some threads from the black and white mentioned above. After I cut the threads, I have to first fold them one after the other into lines and then cut them with scissors. The total number of threads measured out to 10cm was 16 lines from both the black and the white thread.

After I cut threads into 10cm 16 lines, I have to join the white and black threads together given a total of 32 lines but the black has to be at the top. After that, I have to bend the threads into two lines by reducing the length to 5cm which will now give a total of 64 lines.

I now have to take the traditional pot bead and then apply some gum to the downside of the traditional pot bead and allow drying a little. After 4 minutes of the gum drying, I have to take the combined black and white thread measured and then insert it into the downside of the traditional pot bead where the gum was applied. But before inserting the threads, I use one of the white thread lines to tie threads which I use to tie the center of the thread before inserting it into the traditional pot bead.

Step 2:

The next step was some 1.5mm fishing line. After that, I have to bend the fishing line and then insert 1 piece of bead stopper. I draw the bead stopper to the downside of the fishing line. After that, I have to clip the stopper with a plier. I now have to insert 1 piece of white pearl into the 1.5mm fishing line which the bead stopper will now be holding.

After that, I now have to apply some gum at the top side of the traditional pot bead and allow for about 4 minutes of drying. I now have to gum the white pearl to the top side of the traditional pot bead by making sure that the bead stopper clipped with the white pearl is inside the pot bead.

Step 3:

Here, I now have to apply some gum to the top side of the traditional pot bead where the white pearl was gummed. I have to gum 5 pieces of black and white sand beads around the white pearl fixed at the top of the traditional pot bead. I gummed 1 piece of black sand bead, 1 piece of white sand bead, 1 piece of black sand bead, 1 piece of white sand bead, 1 piece of black sand bead, 1 piece of white sand bead, 1 piece of black sand bead, 1 piece of white sand bead, 1 piece of black sand and 1 piece of white sand bead round the white pearl bead.

Step 4:

Here, I have to insert the earring hook into the fishing line attached to the white pearl and then use a bead stopper to hold it. Finally, I have to use fire to dress the mouth of the bead stopper for proper holding.
