It does not feel good to write negative about Hive. Especially after spending some glorious year on this platform. However, it is my personal opinion which I feel need to be looked after. Not many user were eager to highlight the negative aspect abouts other, but I belive there is alwsys a scope of improvement and so does here on Hive too.

Hive, as of now is a platform where user can write posts and earn rewards. Thanks to the community based approach, all issues faced by the users have the potential to be heard and therefore solved by respective community which helps in flourishing and enjoying a smooth sailling experince. Each community have their own curation tool which Incentivizes quality content and encourages community building. However every pros have it's own cons and same with these communities.
Dealing with spamming accounts.
At times when a new user find less traction on their post, communities helps the new user to flourish and allow them to settle. However, at times some user misutlize the curstion program of the community through thsir own multiple accounts. Such accounts are hard to be tracked, as it remain behind the veil of the community. They make own post and also curate with community account.
Marketing factor.
The other negative that I find is that we have lessor PR of Hive over the Internet. Even in the vast web world we hardly see peoole talking about Hive and it's unique content rewarding scheme. We have few promotion initiatives at times on the platform but people tend to forget them after a while. I think that is a biggest gap we are experiencing. There is not proper marketing and promotion of the Hive blockchain. I do believe that hive does have a lot of potential, and as more and more people begin to learn about it, the better it will become.
Lengthy power down time.
An user alwsys prefer to power up to increase their stake on the platform, but at times when they need to encash them or to withdraw the vesting they needs to wait for 13 weeks, with the first instalment crediting in a week time I.e 7 days. I prefer to have an immediate instalment atleast the first one rather than waiting for 7 days. By the time, if anyone wants to convert their rewards into cash, they have to keep waiting long. Rewards earned are not get utilised at times on emergency. I'm sure there are other clever ways to do this.
Hive provides a great opportunity for anyone to earn if they work hard even just by expressing their feelings and sharing their life honestly. Adding quality to the blockchain is alwsys rewarding. We must work towards the betterment and making it more palgaraised free engagement full platform. These are my own opinion.
