The ideas about Hive all started when @callmesmile introduced it to us in September 2022. Our eagerness overflowed upon hearing its goodness and we're oriented on October. The same feelings were felt when our students got a little background about this platform from some of the teachers in our school.
Through the efforts of Miss Smile, the students' minds were opened about this platform which can be beneficial in enhancing their writing skills, and it will change their lives for the betterment.
Since Ilihan Integrated School is considered a big school in the District of Tabogon, Miss Smile took this opportunity to initiate the Hive Orientation which is relevant to the students.
Side-to-side preparation was done to make this event meaningful and successful. The attendees are senior high school students and student teachers who have undergone their field studies at school.
The orientation proper
Miss Smile prepared a program so the orientation would be smooth. She started it with the National Anthem (canned), and she welcomed everybody warmly through her words that will bring comfort to everyone who is inside the venue.
Well then, our brilliant facilitators, who served as our pillars in this platform introduced themselves to the participants so they will know exactly who are they. It was done first by @indayclara. She shared how she has been on this platform and how Hive helped her.
Afterward, Sir @ybanezkim26 took his part by introducing himself first. He told everyone when he started joining this platform. Their professions were shared also and why they lasted longer in Hive.
After the students were amazed at the goodness of this blockchain, the different processes and steps to navigate Peakd were elaborated thoroughly. They talked clearly about what is OCD onboarding. Their discussions illuminated the youngsters' minds on how this web works.
How to be rewarded was tackled by Sir Kim. The reward system can be a motivating factor to do good in Hive. To get curated too, they should observe what are the DOs and DONTs.
This blogging will sharpen the students' skills in writing. To enhance this skill, Sir Kim discussed how this will be done so the students be guided accordingly.
The precise and concise discussion if what are the advantages if we will join this platform was discussed religiously by Inday Clara. I have seen the eagerness of the students as reflected in their happy faces. They were interested upon hearing how Hive works.
The orientation does not take too long. It only lasted for 3 hours. This 3-hour orientated ended with a question and answer from the participants.

Our kind of lunch
We had prepared a simple yet delicious lunch for them. We harvested fresh vegetables from our school garden. We cooked utan biasaya (boiled vegetables) paired with dried fish and fried chicken that will be eaten for lunch together.
We ate cheerfully, and had some quick plans for the upcoming Christmas celebration and where would this be.
Time flew fast, they needed to go home now and we would be attending our class too as it was 1:00 pm already.
It was such a productive and successful day indeed. We are expecting more newbies to blog, straight from Ilihan Integrated School.
