Yo nací en Caracas y he vivido acá muchos años, pensaba que la conocía lo suficiente como para dar recomendaciones sobre la ciudad si alguien de otro lado venía a visitarnos pero ésta semana vi un lado de la ciudad que no conocía y que sinceramente me hace verla con un filtro distinto.
Te hablaré de mi experiencia en la CBW.
I was born in Caracas and have lived here for many years, I thought I knew it well enough to give recommendations about the city if someone from elsewhere came to visit us but this week I saw a side of the city that I didn't know and that honestly makes me see it with a different filter.
I'll tell you about my experience in CBW.

El primer evento al que asistí previo a la CBW fue un side event que realizó Hive, en una cafetería ubicada muy cerca del centro comercial El Millenium. Haciendo un breve inciso, entre tantas emociones, ésta semana me permitió reencontrarme con un familiar que no veía desde que me despedí de mi mamá, al verla me fui en llanto pero luego pudimos compartir en las actividades de toda la semana.
Ese café tiene dos niveles, la temática es de Bitcoin y resulta bastante acogedor. Hay galletas de satoshis y si llevas alguna imagen, te la imprimen en el café. Ahí la charla fue un pequeño abrebocas para los asistentes, la impartieron un grupo de mujeres que representan increíblemente bien a Hive .
The first event I attended prior to the CBW was a side event that Hive organized, in a cafeteria located very close to El Millenium shopping center. Making a brief aside, among so many emotions, this week allowed me to reconnect with a family member I had not seen since I said goodbye to my mom, when I saw her I left in tears but then we were able to share in the activities throughout the week.
That cafe has two levels, the theme is Bitcoin and it is quite cozy. There are satoshis cookies and if you bring any images, they print them for you in the cafe. There, the talk was a small opener for the attendees, it was given by a group of women who represent Hive incredibly well.

El día martes como habrás visto en otras publicaciones se hizo el Meet Up de Hive organizado por @ilazramusic en un local ubicado en Chacaito, he pasado muchas veces por el edificio donde está ubicado ese local y nunca había entrado. Resultó siendo una grata sorpresa donde pude saludar a otros hivers, les escuché cantar en vivo, picamos algunos pasapalos y compartimos de la compañía que trascendió la virtualidad. Acá vi por primera vez a @fermionico , @luvilozada , @filoriologo , @zullyscott , @cabetosag y algunos cuantos más que ahorita se me escapa su usuario.
Para esa misma tarde me había registrado a otra actividad relacionada a la CBW, Tropykus Finance tenía su propio side event en otro lado de la ciudad así que me tocó despedirme para poder llegar allá a tiempo. Un servicio que no falló en la semana fue trasladarnos con Yummy rides y lo más simpático es que a medida que iban pasando los días, ya sabían que había un grupo grande que se dirigía a La Castellana a un evento relacionado a criptomonedas.
On Tuesday as you may have seen in other publications was the Hive Meet Up organized by @ilazramusic in a place located in Chacaito, I have passed many times by the building where this place is located and had never entered. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise where I could say hello to other hivers, I heard them sing live, we ate some snacks and shared the company that transcended virtuality. Here I saw for the first time @fermionico , @luvilozada , @filoriologo , @zullyscott , @cabetosag and a few more, whose user name escapes me.
To attend that same afternoon I had registered for another CBW related activity, Tropykus Finance had their own side event in another side of the city so I had to say goodbye to get there on time. A service that did not fail during the week was to take us with Yummy rides and the nicest thing is that as the days went by, they already knew that there was a large group going to La Castellana to an event related to cryptocurrencies.
Nos costó un poco llegar a la ubicación de este último evento del día porque donde lo ubicaba el gps antes había una farmacia. No esperábamos que fuera ahí pero en vez de seguir dando vueltas, nos dejamos guiar por la intuición porque había un grupo de personas cerca, pensamos que también eran “cripto entusiastas” y nos acercamos.
Efectivamente, ahí era el evento donde vi por primera vez a personas con quienes solamente había interactuado en su mayoría por twitter. Siéndote sincera, mantuve la calma pero cuando se subió a la tarima Cristobal Pereira de quien ya he visto clases, se me activó el fan girl, repito: mantuve la calma.
It took us a while to get to the location of this last event of the day because where the gps located it before there was a pharmacy. We did not expect it to be there but instead of continuing to walk around, we let our intuition guide us because there was a group of people nearby, we thought they were also "crypto enthusiasts" and we approached.
Indeed, there was the event where I saw for the first time people with whom I had only interacted mostly through twitter. To be honest, I kept calm but when Cristobal Pereira, who I have already seen classes from, got up on stage, my fan girl was activated, I repeat: I kept calm.

Llegó el miércoles, día en el que comenzaba la Caracas Blockhain Week. Nunca antes había entrado a las instalaciones del Centro Cultural BOD, había ido a la sede de la Católica pero a la principal en La Castellana no había entrado. Desde el primer día y hasta el último minuto, el personal de seguridad y protocolo del centro fue excepcional, me encantaría ir para ver algún stand up.
Estaba la modalidad de una pulsera azul para toda la semana y también estaba otra para aquellos que teníamos una entrada por día, en ese caso cada mañana debías acercarte al punto de registro donde mostrabas el QR de tu entrada, el personal te la escaneaba y luego de verificar, procedían a colocarte tu pulsera.
Wednesday arrived, the day when the Caracas Blockhain Week began. I had never entered the facilities of the BOD Cultural Center before, I had gone to the Catholic headquarters but I had not entered the main one in La Castellana. From the first day until the last minute, the security and protocol staff of the center was exceptional, I would love to go to see some stand up.
There was the modality of a blue wristband for the whole week and there was also another one for those who had one ticket per day, in that case every morning you had to go to the registration point where you showed the QR of your ticket, the staff scanned it and after verification, they proceeded to place your wristband.

La Caracas Blockchain week contó con varias zonas importantes:
La zona de los stand donde estaban distintos proyectos como BNB Chain, Bit Radio, Magmaverse, CoincoinX, Bitget y el de Hive –siendo sincera sentí que destacamos mucho -
Una carpa donde habían varios comercios que vendían alimentos, Bitcoincafé tenía su espacio ahí y también escuché mucho sobre unos sushis que no probé.
Be in Crypto Stage que era un escenario al mismo nivel de los stand donde tuvimos varias ponencias de Hive, entre ellas la de @soy-laloreto, @danielvehe y @arlettemsalase
Bitcoin Stage que era un escenario más grande (similar a una GRAN sala de cine) ubicado en la parte de abajo donde se suelen presentar las obras o los stand up porque es un espacio mucho más amplio separado en dos aéreas. De acá amé todo el personal con el que cuenta el centro BOD, la seguridad, la insistencia en que debías ingresar con tapabocas y que todos los detalles como las luces, la música, las presentadoras, etc estuvieran tan bien cuidadas.
En ésta tarima se presentó @samgiset y @jonsnow1983 que se ganó su participación en ese espacio mediante una dinámica que hicieron en twitter donde la mayoría votamos por él, cada uno de los representantes de Hive lo hizo buenísimo en cada espacio que se nos otorgó.
Dato simpático, acá tuve unos segundos en donde participé respondiendo a una dinámica y me permitieron usar el micrófono además de que me regalaron una camisa. Entonces, "técnicamente" tuve mi momento en el Bitcoin Stage de la Caracas Blockchain Week.
Caracas Blockchain week had several important areas:
1.The stand area where there were different projects such as BNB Chain, Bit Radio, Magmaverse, CoincoinX, Bitget and Hive - to be honest I felt that we stood out a lot -*
2.A tent where there were several stores selling food, Bitcoincafe had its space there and I also heard a lot about some sushi that I didn't try.
3.Be in Crypto Stage which was a stage at the same level as the booths where we had several Hive keynotes, including @soy-laloreto , @danielvehe and @arlettemsalase.
4.Bitcoin Stage which was a larger stage (similar to a BIG movie theater) located at the bottom where the plays or stand ups are usually presented because it is a much larger space separated into two areas. From here I loved all the staff at the BOD center, the security, the insistence that you had to wear a mask and that all the details such as lights, music, presenters, etc. were so well taken care of.
This stage featured @samgiset and @jonsnow1983 who won his participation in that space through a dynamic that they did on twitter where most of us voted for him, each of the representatives of Hive did great in each space that was given to us.
Fun fact, here I had a few seconds where I participated responding to a dynamic and I was allowed to use the microphone and they gave me a shirt. So, "technically" I had my moment at the Bitcoin Stage of the Caracas Blockchain Week.

De toda la semana, rescato muchas risas, cansancio y algo de estrés pero si la pudiera repetir, lo haría varias veces para vivir la experiencia de nuevo. Quizá afecta el tema de la pandemia y que teníamos tiempo sin convivir en un espacio abierto con tantas personas por una cantidad considerable de tiempo pero para ésta ocasión pude ver en persona a quienes solamente conocía por internet y reír junto a ellos, echar chistes, verlos cada día me hizo sentir como cuando iba a la universidad a ver clases.
Las ponencias tenían horarios que procuraron cumplir bastante bien aunque en algunas ocasiones tuvimos cierto retraso por asuntos logísticos, eso no desalentó a nadie. Cada una de las personas que asistió fue con la mejor energía que tenía, pasaba por los stand, escuchaba sobre cada proyecto, participaba en las actividades que habían organizado, recibía merch y disfrutaba de socializar o hacer networking, unos días fenomenales según mi criterio.
From the whole week, I can rescue a lot of laughter, tiredness and some stress, but if I could repeat it, I would do it several times to live the experience again. Maybe it affects the pandemic issue and that we had time without living in an open space with so many people for a considerable amount of time but for this occasion I was able to see in person those I only knew through the internet and laugh with them, make jokes, see them every day made me feel like when I went to college to see classes.
The lectures had schedules that they tried to meet quite well although sometimes we had some delays due to logistical issues, that did not discourage anyone. Each of the people who attended went with the best energy they had, passed by the booths, listened about each project, participated in the activities they had organized, received merch and enjoyed socializing or networking, a phenomenal few days in my opinion.
Ahora bien, te quiero compartir un poco de lo que viví en relación a la participación de Hive en la CBW, yo no estaba en los stand pero veía como cada persona que andaba por ahí tenía una bolsita con nuestro logo, se acercaron muchos a preguntar por cómo era crear contenido, de qué manera se podía invertir, tuvieron medios de comunicación entrevistándolos y siempre atendieron de la forma más amable posible a quien tuvo alguna duda.
¿Sabes que vinieron a Caracas hivers de otros estados? Me quedé con ganas de mostrarles mi ciudad pero su compañía, entusiasmo y arduo trabajo a lo largo de ésta semana, me ayudó a disfrutarla de una forma que no lo había hecho antes. Puede que cuando te escribo éstas líneas sea algo emocional pero no te exagero al decir que Hive se apoderó de la Caracas Blockchain Week y cautivaron a todos con su presencia.
Now, I want to share with you a little of what I experienced in relation to Hive's participation in the CBW, I was not at the booth but I saw how every person who walked around had a little bag with our logo, many approached to ask how to create content, how to invest, they had media interviewing them and always attended in the most friendly way possible to anyone who had any questions.
Did you know that hivers from other states came to Caracas? I wanted to show them my city but their company, enthusiasm and hard work throughout this week helped me to enjoy it in a way I had not done before. It may be emotional when I write these lines but I am not exaggerating when I say that Hive took over the Caracas Blockchain Week and captivated everyone with their presence.
Estoy muy contenta de poder haberle colocado un rostro, una voz y un trato amable a cada una de las personas que Hive me permitió conocer en la semana, se ganaron un espacio más grande en mi corazón de cuando solamente les leía. Te he dejado algunas fotos a lo largo de la publicación sobre las ponencias a las que pude asistir, espero que sean de tu agrado, nos leemos en otra ocasión.

I am very happy to have been able to put a face, a voice and a kind treatment to each of the people that Hive allowed me to meet during the week, they earned a bigger space in my heart than when I was just reading them. I have left you some pictures along the publication about the presentations I was able to attend, I hope you like them, see you another time.
