Bogotá embruja al visitante con la amabilidad de su gente y lo rico del clima. Es decir, aunque hemos pasado algo de frío, el sol nos ha acompañado la mayor parte del tiempo. Solo lluvias muy aisladas nos encuentra a una ciudad como no la recordamos. Siempre pensé a Bogotá como la capital de la lluvia en latinoamérica con su equivalente a Londres en el continente europeo. Pero no ha sido así. Un espléndido clima en resumen.
El segundo día transcurrió entre tiendas y apartamento. Lo primero para que @arlettemsalase comprara el outfit de tarima como speaker y lo segundo para ultimar detalles de organización, entre otras perlas. Había olvidado lo rico de la bandeja paisa, uno de los platos nacionales de éste país y su parecido con el pabellón criollo venezolano. Quien asegure no tenemos raíces comunes muy profundas, no conoce la historia de ambos países.

Bogota bewitched the visitor with the friendliness of its people and the richness of the climate. That is, although we have spent some cold, the sun has accompanied us most of the time. Only very isolated rains found us a city as we do not remember. I always thought of Bogota as the rain capital of Latin America with its equivalent to London on the European continent. But it has not been like that. A cool climate in short.
The second day was spent between stores and apartment. The first is for @arlettemsalase to buy the outfit for the stage as a speaker and the second is to finalize organizational details, among other pearls. I had forgotten how delicious the 'bandeja paisa' is, one of the national dishes of this country, and its resemblance to the Venezuelan 'pabellón criollo' Whoever claims that we do not have profound common roots, does not know the history of both countries.
Nos acostamos temprano para comenzar el día tres con energía e intentar pulir los discursos a dar en el stand. Las chicas prepararon desayuno y nos vestimos con la ropa que nos identificaría en el evento. Pedimos un taxi por una app y nos dirigimos a los espacios donde comenzaría el Cripto Latin Fest ubicado a escasos 15 minutos de nuestro alojamiento en vehículo. La ciudad amaneció agitada por una amenaza falsa de bomba que alertó a las autoridades. Todo lo escuchamos por la radio del taxi.
La infraestructura bogotana es mucho más moderna que la recordada por éste servidor. Los espacios verdes de la zona donde se encuentra emplazado el evento dominan la vista. Un paisajismo muy diferente al que conseguimos 16 años atrás y realzado con un sol muy fuerte. Llegamos al espacio interactivo Maloka, un museo parecido en su concepción al recordado museo de los niños, en Caracas. La entrada principal muy organizada y el registro nos llevó poco tiempo. En minutos nos encontrábamos ya en el stand de #HIVE.

We went to bed early to start day three with energy and try to polish the speeches to be given at the stand. The girls prepared breakfast and we got dressed in the clothes that would identify us at the event. We ordered a cab through an app and headed to the venue where the Cripto Latin Fest would begin, located just 15 minutes away from our lodging by car. The city was shaken by a false bomb threat that alerted the authorities. We heard it all over the cab radio.
Bogota's infrastructure is much more modern than the one remembered by yours indeed. The green spaces of the area where the event is located dominate the view. A very different landscape than the one we got 16 years ago and enhanced with a very strong sun. We arrived at the interactive space Maloka, a museum similar in its conception to the remembered children's museum in Caracas. The main entrance was very organized and the registration took very little time. Within minutes we were already at the #HIVE booth.
Los espacios de las instalaciones son amplios y la cantidad de proyectos ligados al criptomundo, pululan por doquier. El sitio donde #HIVE se encuentra emplazado está al lado del stand de BINANCE, algo estratégicamente muy beneficioso para nuestra comunidad propietaria. Comenzado el trabajo de atender público, tomaron la batuta: @ecoinstant, @aurodivys, @sofiaquino98, @helengutier2 y @tsunsica en el manejo de los discursos, mientras @arlettemsalase y éste servidor nos encontramos haciendo networking.
Cerca de la once de la mañana sucedió algo que nadie podía controlar por su origen imprevisto: un fuerte sismo de magnitud 5.7 en la escala de Richter sacudió las lámparas del techo del salón VIP y movió con fuerza los huesos de la réplica del tiranosaurus rex. Había experimentado antes temblores de diferente magnitud, pero ninguno me había mareado con anterioridad. Así las cosas, las personas mantuvieron la calma, pero una réplica fuerte obligó a sonar las alarmas del recinto y el evento fue evacuado en su totalidad por la seguridad de los asistentes.

The spaces of the facilities are ample and the number of projects linked to the crypto world, swarming everywhere. The site where #HIVE is located is next to the BINANCE booth, something strategically very beneficial for our proprietary community. Once the work of attending the public began, @ecoinstant, @aurodivys, @sofiaquino98, @helengutier2, and @tsunsica in the handling of speeches, while @arlettemsalase and myself were networking.
Around eleven o'clock in the morning, something happened that no one could control due to its unforeseen origin: a strong earthquake of magnitude 5.7 on the Richter scale shook the ceiling lamps in the VIP lounge and strongly moved the bones of the replica of the tyrannosaurus rex. I had experienced tremors of different magnitudes before, but none had made me dizzy back. As it was, people remained calm, but a strong aftershock forced the venue alarms to sound and the entire event was evacuated for the safety of the attendees.
Una evacuación ordenada nos llevó a los espacios del estacionamiento. Decidimos ir almorzar, mientras los organizadores decidían la hora de retorno, para continuar el evento, fijada en última instancia hacia las 2:40 p.m. Retomamos el trabajo donde fue dejado y todo fluyó muy bien el resto de la tarde. Asistimos a un par de charlas mientras los hivers residenciados en Bogotá nos representaban más allá de nuestras expectativas. La energía manejada por todos nos dejó gratamente sorprendidos y vislumbramos un buen mañana para quienes tomen la responsabilidad de llevar adelante la comunidad colombiana.
Cierra éste primer día del evento con éxito. Estaremos informando en el futuro los logros obtenidos. Algo que no podemos dejar de mencionar es la convergencia y apoyo de otros hivers dentro del evento: @virginianavas1, @ecoinstante, @rafaelaquino, @globalcurrencies y @kathajimenezr, a quienes agradecemos sus esfuerzos. An orderly evacuation took us to the parking lot. We decided to have lunch while the organizers decided on a time to return to continue the event, which was ultimately set for 2:40 pm. We picked up where we left off and everything went smoothly for the rest of the afternoon. We attended a couple of talks while the Bogota-based hivers represented us beyond our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the energy of everyone and look forward to a good tomorrow for those who take on the responsibility of leading the Colombian community.
It closes this first day of the event with success. We will be reporting in the future the achievements obtained. Something we can not fail to mention is the convergence and support of other hivers within the event: @virginianavas1, @ecoinstante, @rafaelaquino, @globalcurrencies, and @kathajimenezr, whom we thank for their efforts. We arrived back at the apartment around 10 p.m., exhausted from a very productive day. Hive made its presence felt at the Crypto Latin Fest. See you there.
