My journey to the newbies initiative
It’s been a great time here on hive, meeting with new friends through engagement and every other thing. Yeah, and I am so happy to be a member of the great platform.
My journey has been like Alice in wonderland. I have been having a nice time on the platform with my account before it got lost. It was just an untimely loss. Anyways it is bound to happen, most times we just have to lose something to gain another. So this prompted me to have a new account and make myself a newbie again. I need to grow up.
My mission to grow up made me wander around the platform going through each and every corner till I encountered a comment from my dear friend @Iskafan.
She made her appreciation post about her successful journey on hive since last year and showcasing her accomplishments so far. I felt like this is the best for me. So I asked her about it and she gave me the details. I am using this medium to appreciate her for that.
I had my eyes on the community awaiting the new application post and finally, it was out. I read the terms and conditions and also the requirements. I realized I am fit for the deal. So I opted in.
Here I am taking my first step into the initiative which I am sure would go a long way in improving myself and my blogging skills, my reputation, and my ability to make my dreams of becoming a mentor on the platform.
My journey on hive
If I am to talk about my stay on the platform then the story would have to come in two ways. It’s either I am an old member with a lost account or a new member with an active account. And I choose to be a newbie with an active account because I want to see myself grow again. My account will be 5 months old in a few days. I was not really active for the first three months but recently I became an active member and a dedicated one too.
My current Hive Power (without delegations) and Reputation
My hive power is 16.5 with a reputation of 51 and I dream of something great at the end of the initiative.
My area of specialization
I am diverse when it comes to writing articles but I am quite consistent in some aspects of writing. I write more fictional articles, motivations, poems, and also love contest challenges. I also love writing about nature and food blogs but most times my environment doesn’t give me the access to explore.
Why I want to be in the program
I have wished to become an influential member on the platform, someone who people would look up to as a guide and a mentor too and I hope it comes to pass someday.
Coming across this program would be more of an opportunity to make my dreams come true and closer to reality. I can’t really say “reality” because I know the initiative is here to help those who help themselves.
So I would try working hard in conjunction with the other newbies, the staff, and the team members of the initiative to grow myself during the few months allocated for the program. And I hope at the end of it all I will be able to stand out proudly and say a big thank you to the newbie's initiatives.
