No lo voy a negar, este momento está siendo perfecto para mí. He tenido el privilegio durante los últimos años de asistir a ruedas de prensa de distintos niveles y categorías. En el ámbito del deporte nacional-profesional, es todo un reto cuando llegas a la rueda de prensa y sabes que deberías hacer una pregunta excelente porque hay muchos periodistas, cámaras y micrófonos allí presentes. Sabes que debes hacerlo bien, sino lloverán las críticas hacia ti, lo que sí puedo decir es que más allá de cualquier equivocación, las oportunidades de oro no se deben dejar ir.

Esta semana tuve la oportunidad de ir a dos ruedas de prensa de dos equipos que integran la Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto de Venezuela, Gaiteros del Zulia y Brillantes del Zulia, ambos conjuntos presentaron su plantilla, hablaron de algunas novedades y dieron a conocer la mascota oficial de cada equipo.

Gaiteros viene renovado, con cambio de directiva, nuevos jugadores, tanto criollos como importados, promete mucho el nuevo renacer de "los comecandela".

Por otro lado tenemos a Brillantes del Zulia, un equipo que poco a poco se ha dado a conocer, más que todo por su actuación en la temporada pasada, que aún sabiendo la historia emblemática de Gaiteros, terminaron por encima de los furreros y por mucho.

Momento en el que hice la pregunta en la rueda de prensa de Brillantes 

Ahora todo es distinto, gracias a la compra del equipo Gaiteros por parte de un importante empresario en la ciudad de Maracaibo, las cosas cambiaron en cuanto a funcionamiento, compra de jugadores importados, calidad de imagen y más. Es por eso que hoy el Zulia respira un ambiente de baloncesto muy distinto.

Brillantes es llamado el equipo "púrpura", en la rueda de prensa que asistí, aclararon que mantendrán la misma base de jugadores criollos, a excepción de los importados, todos son distintos a los que jugaron en la temporada pasada.

Mi experiencia 💙

Desde mi experiencia puedo asegurar que se nota el nivel de ambos equipos, pero también quiero resaltar que por parte de mi hay un crecimiento profesional, gracias a las oportunidades que Dios me ha presentado, por esto he trabajado, me he esforzado y sigo aquí con todo para demostrar ser de las mejores periodistas que pudo parir mi tierra zuliana.

Ser mujer tiene un valor agregado cuando se trata de deportes, durante muchos años se ha notado la desigualdad, ya que según se decía "el deporte es para hombres" y crecimos con esa cultura que poco a poco se ha quebrantado. Pues lo agradezco, ya que soy una de las beneficiadas.

La rueda de prensa de Gaiteros fue de alto nivel, la atención fue maravillosa y asistieron periodistas de todos lados. La atención hacia quienes cubrimos la fuente fue impecable, mientras que Brillantes, como está comenzando organizó una rueda más sencilla, pero de calidad porque habían periodistas con mayores conocimientos deportivos.

Para mí es grato asistir a estos eventos, conoces muchas personas y lo mejor es que queda el contacto, así es como he logrado llegar a donde estoy. La experiencia y las conexiones son ganancia.

Estamos en el arranque de la Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto, voy a estar escribiendo más seguido sobre esta disciplina por acá para reseñar mis experiencias en este inicio de temporada. Para eso también traeré buen material con las fotos que pueda tomar en el lugar durante el juego.

I'm not going to deny it, this moment is being perfect for me. I have had the privilege over the last few years to attend press conferences at different levels and categories. In the national-professional sports arena, it's quite a challenge when you get to the press conference and you know you should ask a great question because there are so many journalists, cameras and microphones there. You know you have to get it right, otherwise criticism will rain down on you, what I can say is that beyond any mistakes, golden opportunities should not be let go.

This week I had the opportunity to attend two press conferences of two teams that make up the Venezuelan Professional Basketball Super League, Gaiteros del Zulia and Brillantes del Zulia.

Gaiteros comes renewed, with a change of board of directors, new players, both Creoles and imported, the new rebirth of "los comecandela" promises a lot.

On the other hand we have Brillantes del Zulia, a team that little by little has become known, mostly for their performance last season, which even knowing the emblematic history of Gaiteros, they finished above the furreros and by far.

Now everything is different, thanks to the purchase of the Gaiteros team by an important businessman in the city of Maracaibo, things have changed in terms of operation, purchase of imported players, image quality and more. That is why today Zulia breathes a very different basketball atmosphere.

Brillantes is called the "purple" team, in the press conference I attended, they clarified that they will keep the same base of Creole players, except for the imported players, all are different from those who played last season.

My experience

From my experience I can assure you that the level of both teams is noticeable, but I also want to emphasize that on my part there is a professional growth, thanks to the opportunities that God has presented me, for this I have worked, I have made an effort and I am still here with everything to prove to be one of the best journalists that my land of Zulia could give birth to.

Being a woman has an added value when it comes to sports, for many years the inequality has been noticed, as it was said that "sport is for men" and we grew up with that culture that little by little has been broken. Well, I am grateful for that, since I am one of the beneficiaries.

The Gaiteros press conference was of a high level, the attention was wonderful and journalists from all over attended. The attention to those of us who covered the source was impeccable, while Brillantes, as it is starting, organized a simpler press conference, but of quality because there were journalists with more sports knowledge.

For me it is a pleasure to attend these events, you meet many people and the best thing is that the contact remains, that is how I have managed to get to where I am. The experience and the connections are a gain.

We are at the start of the Professional Basketball Super League, I will be writing more often about this discipline here to review my experiences at the beginning of the season. For that I will also bring good material with the photos I can take on site during the game.
