En su tercera edición del Duatlón del municipio de Lezama y habiendo participado desde sus inicios, no podía no estar presente y esta vez, nuevamente primero en la categoría postas caballeros +100 años., con un corredor que acababa de conocer.

Como dicen mis amigos venezolanos, "les echaré el cuento". A principio de año comenté que tenía que prepararme para este duatlón, más la maratón de Buenos Aires y también el trail del cruce Saucony. Por diferentes cuestiones, que no vienen al caso, nada sucedió. Inmerso en el reto burpees, me mantuve entrenando todos los días y como me deja, casi sin energías, la bicicleta y correr, casi que lo deje a un lado.

Cuestión, el intendente corrió con un pariente de él y el organizador me consigue a un corredor de más de 70 años. Situación que a mí me encanto, porque correr con una persona de esa edad, realmente es inspirador y un privilegio. No importa el puesto, sino disfrutar del momento. Pero cuando hice números, vi que el hombre corría muy bien, de manera que tenía que dar todo de mí y así fue.

Zuni, salió primera en su categoría, conjuntamente con la Pelu y para mi sorpresa, también salí primero en mi categoría acompañando a un gran atleta local. Sorprendido y emocionado por la situación. En el podio, mi compañero no aparece, porque el hombre nunca escucho su nombre, cuando lo llamaron. Terminado el festejo del podio, me dicen que él estaba esperando que lo nombraran y decidimos, sacarnos una foto para el recuerdo. El hombre, con toda su sapiencia y ternura, me dice: El año que viene corremos juntos, pero más despacio. De manera, de darle oportunidad a otros 😀.

Soy consciente, que el nivel de la competencia, y sobre todo en las mixtas, no es alta. Porque en las individuales con bicicleta de ruta, si había nivel y en el video se observa, como me pasaban. Lo que quiero transmitir, es que salí primero, casi por casualidad y no porque tenga una gran performance. Aunque entre ambos corredores, sumábamos más de 120 años.

No soy el mejor, en las disciplinas deportivas en las que participo, pero al igual que en la vida, entrego todo en cada proyecto. Dicho esto, qué genial, sería que Palabras1, corra con la indumentaria de Hive. Estar en el podio, con la ropa del ciclón de Ezeiza, es un privilegio, porque amo a mis amigos, pero también amo el proyecto del ecosistema de Hive. Tener la indumentaria, para entrenar y sobre todo cuando uno logra hacer podio, es una gran oportunidad, de hacer publicidad, casi gratis.
