En el final de esta temporada, quizás como hace mucho tiempo no ocurría, la fórmula 1 vive una convulsionada serie de rumores sobre que pilotos se sentarán en las escasas y codiciadas butacas en el año 2025.
Es muy cierto que prácticamente todos a excepción de quizás, un equipo, han confirmado a sus dos pilotos para el comienzo del próximo torneo, pero los rumores van y vienen poniendo un manto de sospecha sobre varias de las alineaciones actuales, inclusive haciendo dudar de contratos firmados y confirmados.
En parte eso es culpa de los propios equipos, algunos de los cuales han tomado la decisión de cortar pilotos por diferentes causas, los casos de Logan Sargeant y Daniel Ricciardo son los más emblemáticos.
Ya tuvimos la primera revulsión cuando antes de salir de boxes para disputar la primera carrera del año, Lewis Hamilton anunciaba su pase a Ferrari, golpazo estridente que aun hoy parece increíble.
A partir de allí todo fue incierto y otra prueba de ello es el pase anunciado tempranamente de Carlos Sainz a Williams, el español se aseguró tener un asiento demostrando buenos reflejos luego de quedar fuera del equipo del cavallino rampante gracias a la llegada del ex campeón anunciada previamente. Muy probablemente no sea el equipo al cual el bueno de Sainz hubiera elegido de haber podido, Williams no es Ferrari, no al menos en estos momentos. Seguramente el español, como la mayoría de los pilotos, creyó que valía mucho más de lo que otros están dispuestos a reconocer y el baldazo de la realidad lo mojó completamente.
Este tema de Williams también toca a Franco Colapinto que ha causado una enorme conmoción con su arribo, por los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento como por su carisma. Tanta es la buena impresión que ha causado que en el día de ayer en la conferencia de prensa post entrenamientos, al coincidir en la rueda los pilotos de McLaren y Williams, Oscar Piastri le pidió que le enseñara español debido a que se dio cuenta que sus comentarios y entrevistas causaban gracia y son seguido con mucha atención por gran cantidad de periodistas y quería entender.
Bien, dejando de lado la simpatía del piloto argentino, Williams probablemente esté un tanto arrepentido de haber contratado a Sainz, el joven piloto proveniente de su propia escuela está demostrando que tranquilamente podría haber ocupado la segunda plaza el año entrante sin necesidad de recurrir a alguien de afuera. Por ahora Franco quedará como piloto de reserva
En Red Bull el ambiente también está enrarecido, pese a que el mexicano Checo Pérez tiene contrato por un año más, su pobre performance de esta temporada ha colocado a la escudería en una situación muy incómoda para retener el campeonato de constructores que tan fácilmente habían obtenido en el pasado para colmo de males, se suman las declaraciones de importantes participantes de la mesa de decisión de la escudería que han dejado entrever que quizás puedan prescindir de sus servicios antes de tiempo.
Como si esto fuera poco condimento en la ensalada de rumores, se suman ahora algunos interrogantes sobre el bicampeón de la categoría, el también español Fernando Alonso que imprevistamente faltó a algunos de los eventos promocionales del Gran Premio de México que se disputa este domingo. No faltaron aquellos que mencionaron la posibilidad de que el piloto de Aston Martin, cansado del bajo rendimiento de sus autos más los años que lleva en la categoría, estuviera pensando seriamente en dejar paso a los jóvenes pilotos que vienen empujando a fuerza de talento y coraje.
Por último, al menos en cuanto al conocimiento que tengo sobre estos infundios o habladurías, ha aparecido en los últimos días un rumor sobre la posible vuelta de Valtteri Bottas al equipo Mercedes, no se cuanto habrá de cierto en esto pero se agrega sin dudas a la usina de rumores en circulación.
Deberemos esperar unas cuantas semanas para que concluya el torneo y sepamos con total claridad que hubo de cierto y que no, se terminarán de firmar los contratos pendientes, se concretarán los pases y allí también sabremos si hay algún otro despido, algún retiro o llegada sorpresa.

We will have to wait a few weeks for the tournament to conclude and know with total clarity what was true and what was not, the pending contracts will be signed, the transfers will be finalized and there we will also know if there is any other dismissal, any retirement or surprise arrival.
