Saludos amigos de la comunidad deportiva de HIVE como lo es FullDeportes y amigos del mundo entero, a continuación les compartiré una de mis aficiones que llevo practicando desde hace muchos años, si bien no con tanta dedicación como el ajedrez pero al igual que el mismo es un deporte mental, esta disciplina es el SCRABBLE, y cuenta con la Federación Internacional de Léxico en Español “FILE”, es decir, existe una instancia que regulariza las actividades en torno a esta disciplina deportiva, similar a lo que hace la FIDE con el ajedrez.

Greetings friends of the HIVE sports community as it is FullDeportes and friends around the world, then I will share with you one of my hobbies that I have been practicing for many years, although not with as much dedication as chess but like it is a mental sport, this discipline is the SCRABBLE, and has the International Federation of Spanish Lexicon "FILE", ie, there is an instance that regulates the activities around this sport, similar to what FIDE does with chess.
A diferencia del Ajedrez el SCRABBLE tiene la particularidad de que tiene campeones mundiales según la modalidad que se juegue, sin embargo por ser un hispanohablante me centraré en el SCRABBLE en Español, dejando claro que una persona de cualquier parte del mundo puede aprender terminología en español y jugar SCRABBLE, de hecho hay un caso bastante curioso de un Francés que no habla el Español y logró ser campeón mundial de SCRABBLE en Español.
Y a todos estas ¿Cómo se juega el SCRABBLE?
Acá voy a limitarme a explicar la forma más básica de entender el juego, para que ya te animes a jugar, considero que es mas fácil de aprender que el ajedrez, porque nosotros ya hablamos español, simplemente tenemos es que animarnos a jugar; básicamente el SCRABBLE es como un crucigrama y tenemos que al momento de armar las palabras estas deben respetar un sentido de lectura, que va de izquierda a derecha y de arriba hacia bajo, como se aprecia en las siguiente imagen:
Unlike Chess, SCRABBLE has the particularity that it has world champions depending on the modality played, however being a Spanish speaker I will focus on SCRABBLE in Spanish, making clear that a person from anywhere in the world can learn terminology in Spanish and play SCRABBLE, in fact there is a rather curious case of a Frenchman who does not speak Spanish and managed to be world champion of SCRABBLE in Spanish.
And how do you play SCRABBLE?
Here I am going to limit myself to explain the most basic way to understand the game, so that you can play, I consider that it is easier to learn than chess, because we already speak Spanish, we simply have to encourage us to play; basically SCRABBLE is like a crossword puzzle and we have that at the time of assembling the words these must respect a sense of reading, which goes from left to right and from top to bottom, as shown in the following image:
Allí podemos ver que cada letra tiene un puntaje, ganando el jugador que acumule más puntos, vale decir que esta es la modalidad donde se enfrentan dos jugadores, similar a lo que pasa en una partida de ajedrez. A nivel de distracción, como pasatiempo el SCRABBLE se pude jugar hasta con 04 personas. Es importante acotar como regla fundamental que la FILE establece, es que todas las palabras que se plantean deben estar en el diccionario de la Real Academia Española RAE
There we can see that each letter has a score, winning the player who accumulates more points, it is worth saying that this is the mode where two players face each other, similar to what happens in a game of chess. As a hobby, SCRABBLE can be played with up to 4 people. It is important to note that the fundamental rule that FILE establishes is that all the words that are proposed must be in the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy RAE.

Vale destacar que el juego no solamente se limita al entrenamiento de armar palabras, es necesario estrategia al momento de colocarlas, porque cada casilla tiene determinados efectos que pueden incidir en la obtención de un mayor puntaje, o darle la oportunidad al oponente de que se alce con mas puntos.

Al igual que en el ajedrez las partidas de SCRABBLE también se pueden anotar, como se aprecia en la imagen anterior el tablero esta formado por 15 filas y 15 columnas, las primeras identificadas con letras y las segundas con números, de este modo se pueden registrar las partidas para posteriormente ser analizadas.
¿Qué competencias potencia el SCRABBLE?
Desde mi experiencia como aficionado más memoria, concentración, desarrollo de la inteligencia visual-espacial porque hay que estar atentos a las casillas con premios, actitud de respeto al adversario; los especialistas señalan que el SCRABBLE es una herramienta de desarrollo mental y en el adulto mayor puede resultar un excelente ayudante para prevenir enfermedades de deterioro cognitivo y por supuesto ser una importante fuente de esparcimiento para que nuestros abuelitos disfruten de un bonito juego, el SCRABBLE.

What skills does SCRABBLE enhance?
From my experience as a fan, more memory, concentration, development of visual-spatial intelligence because you have to be attentive to the squares with prizes, attitude of respect to the opponent; specialists point out that SCRABBLE is a tool for mental development and in the elderly can be an excellent assistant to prevent cognitive impairment diseases and of course be an important source of recreation for our grandparents to enjoy a nice game, SCRABBLE.

Es interesante esta otra analogía con el Ajedrez, y es que en el SCRABBLE también se usa el sistema ELO para definir el ranking, curiosamente no hay normas como Gran Maestro, Maestro Internacional, quizás en la medida que el juego se masifique más, y más personas lo vean ya no como un simple juego de mesa sino como un deporte, quizás surjan estos títulos como en el Ajedrez. Me siento orgulloso de que Venezuela sea una potencia mundial en SCRABBLE.
