Saludos estimados miembros de esta gran comunidad, extrañaba escribir algo relacionado a deporte, pero es que últimamente no he visto nada de deporte, me informo con solo resúmenes y highlights, pero mi interés a vuelto y me he llenado de mucha emoción al ver lo que ocurre en los playoffs de la NBA. Tenía mucho tiempo que no me animaba ver juego ningún deporte, en especial alguno donde los equipos que usualmente no alcanza está etapa de la liga este peleando por el campeonato.

Hello dear members of this great community, I missed writing something related to sports, but lately I have not seen any sport, I am informed only with summaries and highlights, but my interest has returned and I have been filled with much excitement to see what happens in the NBA playoffs. It has been a long time since I had the courage to watch any sport, especially one where teams that usually do not reach this stage of the league are fighting for the championship.
Siempre fui muy fanático del baloncesto, de joven jugué mucho en todo equipo que me pude inscribir, ví a Michael Jordan jugar así que ya entenderá el porqué de mi pasión, pero luego de MJ me mantuve pegado a la NBA admirando a Latrell Sprewell de los NY Nicks y a los imbatibles Lakers de Koby y Shaq, pero luego de estas super estrellas no me interese más, ni siquiera por Lebrón James.
Pero en la actualidad la NBA es otra cosa, los tiros de media distancia en la llave ya no son lo más importante, lanzamientos de 3 puntos es la orden del día, vemos incluso a un jugador base pararse en la línea de tres y encestar, algo que antes parecía que era imposible, todo gracias a Stephen Curry y su modo de juego no tradicional.

Esto provocó que una camada de nuevos jugadores siguiese este camino y ahora vemos a cualquier equipo, incluso sin mucha tradición como los Celtics o Lakers meterse en la pelea por el título y llegar a finales de conferencia, pero lo que más me llama la atención es ver a jugadores como Anthony Edwards y su estilo de juego que trae a mi memoria los mejores tiempos de Michel Jordan.
This caused a new crop of players to follow this path and now we see any team, even without much tradition like the Celtics or Lakers get into the fight for the title and reach the conference finals, but what strikes me most is to see players like Anthony Edwards and his style of play that brings to my memory the best days of Michel Jordan.

Que espectáculo fue la serie entre estos dos equipos, este juego mantuvo a la gente de pie en el American Airlines Center de Dallas debido a la intensidad que tuvo de principio a fin. Luka Doncic hizo el trabajo y no dejo de guiar a los Mavericks destacando con 29 puntos, 10 asistencias, 9 de 15 tiros en la pintura y 4 de 6 tiros de 3, pero mi favorito fue Kyrie Irving, aunque no es el gran anotador, su magia siempre sale a relucir cuando es necesaria.

What a spectacle was the series between these two teams, this game kept the crowd on their feet at the American Airlines Center in Dallas due to the intensity it had from start to finish. Los Thunders habían sido la sorpresa de la temporada que impresionante ver a estos muchachos jugar, quienes parecían ser desconocidos, fueron subestimados por muchos equipos que se llevaron una gran sorpresa al ir quedando eliminados en el camino. La actuación de Shai Gilgeous-Alexander por los Thunders fue magistral, alcanzando los 35 puntos, 8 asistencias y unos impresionantes 15 - 23 FG.
El último cuarto fue de infarto, tenía años que un juego no me mantenía al borde de la silla. Washington Jr. recibió una falta en un intento de tiro de 3.
Washington convirtió dos tiros libres de los tres fallando uno a propósito obligando a los Thunder a sacar desde al ultima línea, y tras un disparo fallido el marcador finalizo 116-117 dando el pase así a los Mav a la final de conferencia contra los Indiana Pacer. The Thunders had been the surprise of the season and it was impressive to see these guys play, who seemed to be unknown, they were underestimated by many teams that got a big surprise as they were eliminated along the way. The last quarter was heart-stopping, it had been years since a game had kept me on the edge of my seat. The Thunders went ahead by 1 point with only 2 seconds left to play after a dunk by Chet Holmgren leaving the score 116-115 and when everything seemed lost P.J. Washington Jr. was fouled on a 3 point shot attempt.
Washington converted two free throws out of three, missing one on purpose forcing the Thunder to shoot from the last line, and after a missed shot the score ended 116-117 giving the Mavs a ticket to the conference finals against the Indiana Pacers. El séptimo juego de esta serie parecía ser la despedida de los Timberwolves, equipo con el que he llegado a simpatizar mucho. Los Nuggets guiados por Nikola Jokic el MVP de la temporada, hacían valer la localia y demostrar porque son los actuales campeones de la NBA. Parecía que los Wolves tras los dos primeros juegos lograrían la hazaña de volver a una final de conferencia, algo que no hacían desde 2004 pero los Nuggets protagonizaron una remontada épica.

The seventh game of this series seemed to be the farewell of the Timberwolves, a team with which I have come to sympathize a lot. The Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic, the MVP of the season, were making their home advantage count and showing why they are the reigning NBA champions. It seemed that the Wolves after the first two games would achieve the feat of returning to the conference finals, something they had not done since 2004, but the Nuggets staged an epic comeback.

Los Wolves aunque forzaron un séptimo juego, parecía que los Nuggets se embarcan a una nueva final de conferencia, los dos primeros cuartos se impusieron con una diferencia de 20 puntos sobre los Wolves, la doble marcación sobre Anthony Edwards estaba surtiendo efecto y se fueron al descanso con un ventaja aparentemente insuperable.

Although the Wolves forced a seventh game, it seemed that the Nuggets were embarking to a new conference final, the first two quarters were imposed with a difference of 20 points over the Wolves, the double marking on Anthony Edwards was taking effect and they went to the break with a seemingly insurmountable advantage.
But the Timberwolves achieved the unthinkable, they overcame the 20-point advantage the Nuggets had over them, something that had never been achieved in a game 7 in playoffs, and not by the hand of their superstar Edwards, the leader was the Dominican Karl-Anthony Towns with 23 points and 12 rebounds, plus a fierce defense along with Rudy Gobert in the double marking against Jokic.
