This event will take place in Praia Da Rocha in the town of Portimao.
The format of the event will be 5 vs 5. 120 clubs from 30 different countries and more than 2000 athletes are expected.
Beach events are usually very tiring, due to the density of the sand when running and having to move on the court to make the moves, which is why the physical quality of the players must be optimal. Many of the participating players prepare for months to adapt to the conditions of playing for a week in sand.
I have never been to this part of the world, but I am very curious about the wind speed during these autumn days when the event will be held.
Warao is a Venezuelan team that I met 13 years ago when I started playing Ultimate Frisbee. Warao has always been in the top of the best teams in the country, being the Venezuelan club with more and better international participation.
As part of his preparation, Warao participated in the Tanga Cup Tournament in Barcelona (April, 2024) obtaining the 5th position, also in the Spring Boom Tournament in Barcelona (May, 2024) obtaining the 4th position in the event.

For this event I will have the opportunity to participate as a volunteer, at the same time I will be reunited with friends of the sport that I have not seen for a long time, because the political and social conditions in Venezuela separated us.
