Greetings! I greet you on a happy day because yesterday the team I support in Turkey, Galatasaray, became the champion. We haven't talked about soccer for a while but I think now is the right time!
Even though Galatasaray didn't play like a champion throughout the season, in most of the games they made us feel that they won't lose. The goalkeeper and the defense line are very important in this. Besides that, their talented players always managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat and win the match. I remember some games where Galatasaray found 3 positions and won 3-0. If you have quality players, you don't need to get into 20 positions every game. It is enough that they are in form.
Last week in the Fenerbahçe derby, let's all admit that Galatasaray played terrible. I congratulated Fenerbahce and my Fenerbahce friends, they put up a great fight and managed to win the match. Before the match everyone's favorite was Galatasaray. Fenerbahce's most in-form player in recent times was not playing. To win the match under these circumstances is something to be respected. However, I don't think Fenerbahce played great. What kind of a contradiction is that, incublus? If they won the match, how come they didn't play well?
I think the problem was with Galatasaray. They played a terrible game. All the players were struggling to get into position. I haven't seen Galatasaray play this badly in big games for years. Fenerbahçe passed the ball so freely that it felt like Galatasaray was missing even though Fenerbahçe was playing with 10 men. Moreover, not only in defense but also in attack, Galatasaray was very bad. There were never any creative attacks. Players who were expected to dribble could not dribble successfully at all. It was as if everything was against Galatasaray. So why did this happen?
I think the players, the coaching staff and even the management didn't take this game seriously enough. They went out with the mentality that we are going to be champions anyway. The preparations were also in this direction. Before the match there were reports that the players were given long periods of leave. I don't know whether it was true or false, but when you combine all these things, there was definitely a complacency. Moreover, the choreography of the tribunes before the match galvanized the opposing team. Let's accept that too. Despite everything, I think Galatasaray should have gotten a draw from that game despite all the poor form.
Let's put aside a terrible week, Galatasaray has been playing really good football in recent weeks, just like the champions. What I didn't understand was the rival fans saying that we showed who the real champion is. Should we declare you champions just because you won one game? Then we were champions 3 times last year. We beat Fenerbahce in both games and we scored the most points in the league. But football is not like that, at least the league system is not like that. The team that collects the most points in all matches during a season becomes the champion and that was Galatasaray. Just as I accept that Fenerbahçe played better against us and I congratulate them for their win, they should congratulate us for the championship. Nothing can be more normal than that.
In the Konyaspor game yesterday, Galatasaray did not play a perfect game but Konyaspor was not a very good team so they could not resist Galatasaray. Galatasaray played a very comfortable game, I think there were at least 5 clear chances missed apart from the 3 goals. I'm not sure if Konyaspor even had an organized attack. Even 1 point was enough for Galatasaray and to crown it with 3 points was extra. To repeat briefly, Champion GALATASARAY!

Galatasaray sezon boyunca şampiyon gibi oynamasa da çoğu maçta kaybetmeyeceğini hissettirdi. Bunda kaleciyle birlikte defans hattının önemi çok büyük. Bunun da yanında yetenekli futbolcuları her zaman bir şekilde şapkadan tavşan çıkarıp maçı kazandırmayı bildi. Bazı maçları hatırlıyorum, Galatasaray'ın 3 pozisyon bulup 3-0 maçı kazandığı. Kaliteli futbolcularınız varsa her maç 20 tane pozisyona girmenize gerek yok. Formda olmaları yeterli.
Geçen hafta Fenerbahçe derbisinde hepimiz kabul edelim ki Galatasaray berbat oynadı. Fenerbahçe'yi ve Fenerbahçeli arkadaşlarımı tebrik ettim. Ortaya büyük bir mücadele koydular ve maçı kazanmayı başardılar. Maçtan önce herkesin favorisi Galatasaray'dı. Fenerbahçenin son zamanlardaki en formda oyuncusu da oynamıyordu. Bu şartlar altında maçı kazanmak saygı duyulası bir şey. Buna rağmen Fenerbahçenin harika oynadığını düşünmüyorum. Bu nasıl bir tezat incublus? Maçı kazandılarsa nasıl iyi oynamadılar?
Bence problem Galatasaraydaydı. Berbat bir oyun ortaya koydular. Bütün oyuncular pozisyon almada sıkıntı çekiyordu. Galatasaray'ın yıllardır büyük maçlarda hiç bu kadar kötü oynadığını görmemiştim. Fenerbahçe o kadar rahat pas yaptı ki maç içinde Fenerbahçe 10 kişi oynamasına rağmen sanki Galatasaray eksikmiş gibi hissediliyordu. Üstelik sadece savunmada değil ataklarda da çok kötü bir Galatasaray vardı. Asla yaratıcı ataklar sergilenemedi. Dribbling beklenen futbolcular hiç başarılı dribbling yapamadı. Sanki her şey Galatasaray'ın aleyhine gibiydi. Peki neden böyle oldu?
Bence futbolcular ve teknik heyet, hatta yönetim bu maça gereken ciddiyeti göstermedi. Nasıl olsa şampiyon olacağız gibi bir zihniyetle çıktılar. Hazırlıklar da bu yöndeydi. Maçtan önce takımdaki futbolculara uzun süreli izinler verildiğine dair haberler vardı. Yalan ya da doğru olup olmadığını bilmiyorum ama bütün bunları birleştirdiğinizde bir rehavet olduğu kesin. Üstelik maçtan önce tribünlerin koreografisi de rakip takımı gaza getirdi. Bunu da kabul edelim. Her şeye rağmen bütün formsuzluğa rağmen Galatasaray bence o maçtan beraberliği alabilmeliydi.
Berbat bir haftayı bir kenara bırakalım, Galatasaray son haftalarda gerçekten iyi futbol oynuyordu, tıpkı şampiyon gibi. Benim anlamadığım şey ise rakip taraftarların gerçek şampiyonun kim olduğunu gösterdik demesiydi. Sadece bir maçı kazandığınız için sizi şampiyon mu ilan edelim? Öyleyse geçen yıl biz 3 kere şampiyon olduk. Hem Fenerbahçe'yi iki maçta da yendik hem de ligde en çok puanı topladık. Ancak futbol böyle bir şey değil, en azından lig sistemi böyle değil. Ligde bir sezon boyunca, bütün maçlarda en çok puan toplayan takım şampiyon oluyor ve bu da Galatasaray oldu. Nasıl ben Fenerbahçe'nin bize karşı bizden daha iyi oynadığını kabul ediyorsam ve onları galibiyeti için tebrik ediyorsam onlar da bizi şampiyonluk için tebrik etmeliler. Bundan daha normal bir şey olamaz.
Dün oynanan Konyaspor maçında Galatasaray yine mükemmel bir oyun ortaya koymadı ama Konyaspor çok iyi bir takım olmadığı için Galatasaray'a karşı direnemedi. Galatasaray çok rahat bir maç çıkardı, bence 3 golün dışında kaçan en az 5 net fırsat vardı. Konyaspor'un ise organize bir atağı bile var mıydı emin değilim. Zaten Galatasaray'a 1 puan bile yetiyordu ve 3 puanla bunu taçlandırmak ekstra oldu. Kısaca tekrar etmek gerekirse ŞAMPİYON GALATASARAY!
