A Memorable Year for Our Aeta Students

A heart that gives will undoubtedly be a heart that receives more.

I mentioned my Aeta students in my previous posts several times. These students are recognized in some way as being less fortunate. They don't have access to many things, including health care, housing, education, and a variety of other services because they live in remote areas.

Even though they lack some things, God will still use someone as His tool to help and provide for these less fortunate students.

Looking back on the year 2022, I am incredibly appreciative of everyone who helped make our Aeta students' year special.

The Aeta families are affected by the food shortage, which is one of the biggest issues in remote areas like the one where our school is located. They have a limited source of food, particularly when it comes to rice. As a result, when food becomes scarce, people will substitute food crops like "gabi," or taro root, and sweet potatoes, for rice.**

When I asked one of Aeta's parents, I asked, "How do you feel about the food shortage? , and “How did your kids withstand it”

She continued, "When the shortage occurs, my husband and I start to dig some root crops anyplace in some mountain locations. My children are accustomed to this condition, so they know how to cope with it and put up with the daily agony in their bellies. They are being appreciative of even the tiny things they have and won't complain, rather they will help us to search for food.

As I heard those words, my heart ached. However, I am also incredibly proud of them for their attitude of gratitude in the face of their difficulties.

So when December arrived, I was happy to see people reaching out to our Aeta students and their families to donate and share blessings.

The year 2022 was definitely a remarkable one for our Aeta Learners.

Despite the risks they took, these good Samaritans managed to travel two hours to our school, which is located outside of our town. The road was bumpy, and there was dust from the strong winds, but it didn't worry them.

We are incredibly grateful for the gifts and supplies that these people shared with our students, as they truly make them happy. Rice and other foods that they need to survive their days of hunger are shared with them. They value these gifts greatly because they will be able to use the goods for several days.

Some of them share, hygiene kits that can help our Aeta pupils be aware of taking care of their bodies despite living in remote areas, and sometimes these necessities can also be hard for them to purchase because of lack of money or poverty.

Some of them share toys and clothing, which makes our Aeta students very happy. They don't frequently get these kinds of presents. Additionally, they hardly ever have it. The majority of them are creating some improvised structures out of the woods and other natural resources they can find nearby.

Being one of their teachers, I am incredibly appreciative of the generosity and kindness of those who share their blessings with our students. Therefore, from the bottom of our hearts...
We appreciate your efforts and donations, which have had a profound impact on our Aeta students' lives and hearts. We appreciate you giving us hope that humanity s still exists.

We appreciate you helping to make 2022 a memorable year for our Aeta students.
