Hello Hive Friends!!!
Hope you are doing well today. I know that everyone has talents and skills. Some were gifted because they have them both, some were still discovering theirs and some were using their talents and skills to express themselves.
Oh! If we will talking about talents and skills I always asked myself what I have. Do I have talents and skills? I think I wasn't still discovered mine maybe. What am I into? Hmmm. I'm fond of drawing but I don't consider them a talent because it is not as nice as what others have.
When I was a child and still in grade school, I loved to draw and dance but when I grew older, none of these retained my talent. I'm sure only of one thing, I love to Cook for my family and I've considered cooking as my talent then.
Today, I would like to share some talents of the students in our school (Ilihan Integrated School). They gonna showed off their talents and one of them will be chosen as the best in Poster Making.
I was then the facilitator of the said activity (Poster Making Contest) before it was started the mechanics of the contest were presented and we let them understand it. We would like to clear things up as to what are the Dos and Don'ts.
They were given two hours to execute their talents and they were provided with all the materials needed these were the following:
- White cartolina
- Pencils
- Sharpeners
- Coloring Materials
- Tissue paper and cotton
- Erasers and sharpeners
The contest was participated by 12 students and it started at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon and will be done at exactly 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon. The participants made ready and focused themselves. They had to focus on the Theme first before they were going to make imagination and realized what to draw.
This was the theme:
They started first with an outline plan. I am so excited about what is in their imagination and how they express their feelings based on the theme given.
I set a time alarm so that they were aware and knew the allotted time. Every time they move their pencils I always ask myself, What if I had this kind of talent, will I join also the same contest like this? How do I wish?
I recalled something while they were having fond of coloring their posters I remembered my childhood teacher, who told me to color the apple drawn on the piece of bondpaper and she said color it like a real apple. So coloring of an object or something really matters in the image of your drawing.
Once done their Poster will be submitted in front. I grabbed the opportunity and the chance to captured pictures on their Posters. Each of them was given the chance to have a photo and be proud of themselves because not all had been given talents like this, they were the chosen ones.
Some were done and submitted their work but since there was still time, others still continued to color their posters.

This was our participant from Grade 7. He was proud of his work. Our very cute participant that joined Poster Making Contest.
She was our participant in Grade 10.
Grade 12 participants.
They were the last two participants that were not done coloring their Poster but since the time was over, they don't have a choice but to submit it.

After the submission, they let their area clean as they go. This is one of the disciplines that students should always remember and we always remind them to do as well. They wiped all the unnecessary colors that were marked on the tables and threw the trashes away and put it in the proper trash bin.
These were their final outputs.
I was having fun and had a good time seeing students interests and it was a great experience to facilitate this kind of activity in which students will be exposed and may showcase their hidden talents and skills in terms of Poster Making.
The judges will be given time to choose the best for them and the winner will be announce during the culmination.
