A Place of Learning and Growth: A Tour of Our School

School is considered as the second home for the students. It is the ground for every young mind to acquire knowledge, and it is the place where the future is molded and dreams will become a reality. Today, I welcome you all for a virtual tour of the school where I taught. Our school Doña Liling Neis Negapatan National High School is located in Tapul, Tabogon, Cebu. Our school is one of the schools in Tabogon District that are located at the top of the mountains and also one of the largest schools in Tabogon, Cebu.

Located in a rural area, our school has also wide areas for a lot of activities while enjoying nature's beauty. From the top of the mountain, we can feel the breeze coming from the sea. The School's surrounding areas also have mountain ranges that have a lot of trees and grasses around. The sea from afar is also very visible at the top of the Senior High School Area.

The School Area

The school has a wide surrounding area. There are scattered school buildings but the classroom isn't enough to cater to the large number of students.

These classrooms are for grades 7-9. This will also serve as an evacuation center, especially during calamities such as typhoons.

We also have a covered court where our school activities or programs will be held. This covered court was a school project way back in 2021. This will serve as the ground for activities especially when the weather is not fine.

Student's Standby Area

Students during their free time find a spot in the school area to be their standby area. They used to stay in the shades of trees where they played mobile games, played guitars, studied their lessons, having a chit chat with their friends, and dated their boyfriends or girlfriends.

School Garden

One of the projects of the school is gardening. The school also has a garden known as Sugbusog Garden. It is also important to have a garden in school so that students will also learn how to cultivate the soil and also learn how to plant vegetables.

We are using recyclable materials for our garden, such as tires and plastic bottles which serve as pots for plants.

Our Boys Teacher's Office

We have our own office. We used to have a separate office so that we could freely talk about boys' topics. But having a separate office doesn't mean that we don't have unity. We still build connections and good relations with other teachers. The unity of teachers and administrative staff is visible. We are one in terms of decision-making for the development of our school.

Our Water Supply
It has been a problem for the municipality for a very long time about the Water Supply of the entire community. Even in the lowland areas, there is not enough water to suffice the needs of the community. How much more in our school which is upland or in the mountains. That's why the school administration provided water tanks beside the school buildings which serve as a reservoir for rainwater.

Our school may not be the best, but with the best effort of the School's administration and staff, with the support of the local government units, the DepEd, and other stakeholders, the school still delivers the best for the learners.

That's all for this blog. I hope that you enjoy the virtual tour of our school. See you again next time. Thank you everyone and have a great day.
