Hello everybody! How are you today? I hope that you had a great time! I'm also feeling good these days.

Now, I will be sharing with you how we celebrate our teacher's day in our school.

It was a very special moment and opportunity to say thank you to our beloved teachers and to give back the love and hardships that they exerted on us students.

A moment to give them our gratitude for teaching and molding us into who we are today.

This will be a very fun blog that I will be posting because, here, we had a memorable and amazing time while this event was happening.

I'm sure that you will also be intrigued by what we did during our Teacher's Day! Well, we did many fun activities that you should look forward to in this blog, so please read until the very end. Thank you!

LAMPs' Day?
What is LAMPs' day, you say? Well, it is the same as celebrating the day of our beloved teachers. It stands for “Lay Mission Partners' Day” in short for LAMPs' Day where we always have many events set up during this day.

As for me, when the day of this is about to take place, I will always feel excited. I can't wait for this to come off and now, finally, this event occurred. The waiting is over and the thing has already started. This happened a few days ago, it is still very fresh from what I feel and remember.

There are also many wonderful performances that you will surely be looking out for during this event takes place. I'm going to show you from the very first until the end of this day closed up during the LAMPs' Day.

It was a typical schedule, we arrived at school before 7:30, our regular time to be in school, and as I've got to go inside the campus I've already seen many student councils and other students preparing for a mass.

They started the event with a mass. You can see that there are many chairs assembled before this would happen, for us to sit and to be comfortable since it will take at least an hour until the mass ends. As minutes go by, many students start to come by and fill up some of the chairs, especially at the center spot of the covered court.

So i and my friends are also trying to find a perfect place to sit so that we can see the full view of the event. We decided to sit down in the area near our classroom since it's perfect and very comfortable to sit on and watch the event flow by. When the priest arrived the mass was also starting.

During the priest's sermon, I reflected on something that is about enjoying and finding the passion that we want in making ourselves happy in terms of doing it and will not make us sad and down instead.

After the mass, there are also a few moments of dancing while holding the St. Niño by the teachers in celebrating the Sinulog festival as well.

It was really fun seeing some of our teachers dance holding the santo niño. We also cheered them up while this was happening.

When the teachers are done with the dancing regarding the Sinulog festival. They gave us a 40-minute break time to fix ourselves and to be ready for the actual event to happen. We take our snacks and talk for a while with our friends during the break.

We also watch our other classmates perform for a presentation at each grade level. As you can see in the picture they were wearing the school P.E. uniforms instead of having costumes since we were not given a longer time to prepare for this performance and they only got to practice for just a day during the end time of our class schedule.

I can see their dedication to making their performance go well. They practice even in our break time to show and to give us an amazing performance.

While they were practicing inside our classroom my other classmates arrived together with gifts and a bouquet to surprise our adviser.

One of my friends also bought a cake for our teacher. It says there, “Happy Teachers' Day Miss Cyreane”. It's the name of our adviser. We are planning to surprise her as a section because this is a once-in-a-year celebration that we need to honor in recognizing the hardships of our teachers and to show our gratitude towards them.

We hide all the gifts and flowers so that our advisor will not know that we are planning to have a surprise for her. When the bell and the break were over, we had to go outside and prepare for the LAMPs' Day event to start.

When the event already started I can tell that the party's theme is Barbie and Ken. The decorations are all pink and all the teacher's outfits are inspired by the Barbie and Ken style of clothes. They are wearing pink dresses and blue clothes. Some are also given scarves and cowboy hats to match the vibe of the event.

After a while, the show started with a Barbie walk of each Teacher' on the red carpet that some of the student council prepared for them. All the teacher's walks were unique and I saw that they also enjoyed the red carpet part.

When the first segment was done a dance performance of the Grade 7 student was started. They performed a marvelous dance. We enjoyed and had an amazing time watching them. Grade 7 students are very adorable since they are also the youngest batch on our campus.

This followed by the dance performance of the Grade 8 students, compared to the Grade 7 where the dance are a Barbie-like and their costumes or outfits as well are more of a pinkish style, on the other hand, grade 8 students' performances were sort of a swag and hip hop style. The background music that they used is mostly TikTok songs so it has a vibe of the trends these days.

Here as you can see in the photo, this was our performance as a grade 10 student. All of the dancers only wore our p.e outfits since they didn't have much time to decide and plan for a costume.

Their performance was amazing even for the shortest time, they still managed to deliver an amazing dance.

Here is also the performance of the 1st year college, they sang a gratitude song for our dear teachers and danced as well. Their performance was lit! Cheers to them for having a wonderful dance!

After the 1st year college performance, there was a raffle draw for the teachers only they would be able to receive prizes like goods, groceries, and a sack of 5 kilos of rice.

Then after the fun raffle draw, the grade 12 students were preparing for their turn to perform. During their performance, the crowd gets hyped and dances. Their performance was very engaging which made the people jam and dance as well.

IMG_20240126_120415.jpg

Overall, the event ended with a community song titled “Thanks to You”, to give gratitude to all the teachers.

IMG_20240126_122155.jpg

Since the event was done and we only had a morning class that day we decided to go home already but after that, we did take some pictures of the Barbie Booth.

The decorations of it were beautiful and nice! Thanks to the student officers who organize the event.

It was truly an unforgettable experience to treasure. Teachers Day allows us to show our gratitude towards our loving and hardworking teachers.

With that being said, let me now wrap up this blog by saying Thank you to all who read my blog. I appreciate you all! See you next time!
