An Early Morning Coffee Brew, Creating Content and HPUD.

It's early in the morning, and I've already had my coffee. It felt good to smell the fresh air and feel the gentle breeze. Makes one a little more relaxed and chill. The vacation vibes permeated the surroundings with a happy, quiet, refreshing atmosphere.

So, I'm trying to complete this blog on mobile, with an edited photo because it's practical to be flexible. I'm more comfortable working on the laptop but that isn't always available so I'm trying to familiarize myself with mobile blogging.

From the image editing, photography, writing, and publishing, I intend to do it all on mobile. I've also been online on my laptop, but have largely been able to stay away from editing this #HPUD post. lol

Powering Up 300 Liquid Hive

Now, to the main topic of this blog. I'm sliding down my power up this month. From 500 liquid Hive the previous months, I'm going down to 300 liquid Hive for powering up. The caveat here is that I plan to power up one (1) Hive everyday, at least, for the month of July. I've seen some people do it and I like the challenge and discipline involved in undertaking this mini project. Hopefully, I complete the task and be able to accumulate more hive for powering up in next month's HPUD.

Those Were The Days

To continue with my content creation themed freewriting series. It has been more 4.5 years since I signed up to become a Web 3.0 blogger. Thinking of my mindset back when I was a newbie and it was bad. Like many users here, I enjoyed writing and content creation. I also liked the fact that content creators are able to earn crypoturrency in this platform. There were other alternatives, but I've found in my limited and naive research that Steem Hive platform was the best one.

I also thought about ways to maximize my earnings on the platform and found out that there were a few "schemes" available, which allowed users to extract value from the platform. One of the things I thought about was just creating alt accounts and using these to upvote my main account. After trying it out, I didn't quite like it, as if it felt like trying to game the system does more harm than the benefits I will be getting, it isn't for me. I abandoned the idea altogether. Much later on, I learned that this and othe shady behavior is frowned upon by the community as it will harm the Hive economy in the long run. All of us will loose more if these things were tolerated, or even encouraged.

Investing In Value Propositions

Fast forward, today, we have a multitude of activities that we can do for income generation. Playing games, defi, NFTs, and delegating to high paying curation/delegation accounts can result in significant returns that I've forgotten all about trying to get more out of the system than I actually give. Value creation and growth should be a symbiotic effort between users and the ecosystem, NOT with one side getting much more than the other because in the end, we will get more from a fair, progressive, dynamic blogging platform, than one with filled with rampant value extractors and scammers.

Materializing A Hive Rally In Price

Not really a rant but just frustration that the Hive price hasn't rallied even when most of the top alts have seen all time highs in this bull market. I believe we still have time in the next few weeks to ride up the momentum, if BTC goes on another push up to another ATH level. Wishful thinking, maybe, but it's something I know all of us here on the platform are dreaming about: price back to Hive's ATH, and higher.

Finally

That's it for today's HPUD post. It's the first of July, another month closer to Christmas. Wishing you all a productive and enjoyable day ahead.

Love and peace.
