The 26th of July, 2023. I'm writing this at 8:26 tonight.The maritess or "gossip ladies" told me yesterday that there is another typhoon and that it will travel over the northern section of Luzon.
A typhoon named Egay that is classified as a Super Typhoon, according to the news. On the evening of July 25, the wind began to blow, and I initially thought it was just a light breeze, but it turned out to be quite severe.
Even though I was inside, I could nearly hear the blow of the wind and the strong rain. It felt like our roof was going to blow off, so I was terrified and unable to sleep. Thank you, G, for last night the wind did not blow our roof off. The wind is still quite strong when I get up in the morning, but it is not raining. I check the super typhoon update while having my coffee, and we are signal number 2 in our province.
While scrolling through my social network, I noticed that there were numerous posts like this Infrastructural damage caused by the Super Typhoon at SM Baguio and I also noticed the post stating that the boat sank and trees in Burnham Park were damage.
And there is this Banaoang bridge, where the water has risen and is almost touching the bridge due to the severe rain.
With all the misfortunes and problems that come in my life, it can be said that I'm still lucky because I don't experience flooding and flying off the roof. I also never experienced putting a bucket inside our house when it is raining.
So if you feel that your life is unfair, you are wrong, friend, because what you have now is also what your fellow human beings do not have. Be grateful for what you have and share what is extra.
