The month of October has been designated as "Cybersecurity Awareness Month," and it is a joint effort between the government and private industry to educate people about the importance of digital security and give individuals the tools they need to protect their personal data from various forms of online crime.

The month of October is being dedicated to the creation of resources and communications for people all over the world about the importance of maintaining their safety while using the internet.

Now in its 19th year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month continues to build momentum and impact co-led by the National Cybersecurity Alliance and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) with the overarching theme for 2022: "See Yourself In Cyber"

Online safety can be easily maintained

Even though the majority of cybersecurity news articles are about large data breaches and hackers, the situation may still make you feel as though you have no control over it and can be very overwhelming. However, the month of October is designated as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which serves to remind everyone that there are many different ways to keep your data secure. Even if only the most fundamental aspects of cybersecurity are practiced, this can make a significant difference.
