In the recent blog I posted, I was able to participate in the Orientation Of Newly-Hired Teachers for the district of Tuburan I where I am currently working right now.
The day after that, we were invited to a New Hires' Welcome Lunch. It made us feel so welcomed and it made me so happy.
The New Hires' Welcome Lunch is held at our school head's office and we were joined by all the newly-hired teachers and other non-teaching personnel who is working in the school head's office.
This is a great way to be able to socialize with them and have a little meet and greet, as long as we will be working in the institution, we will be working with them on a daily basis.
Starting from the left side of the photo until the seventh person standing are my colleagues and I. We are the newly-hired Senior High School Teachers of Tuburan National High School. The 8th man standing on the photo is our school head and the rest are some of the other faculty members and non-teaching personnel in our school.

It was a lunch filled with so many good talks and we gain a lot of pieces of advices from the teachers who have been working in the field for quite some time now. It also was the perfect moment to get to know my co-teachers who are also newly-hired just like me.
I am overwhelmed to be part of this institution. Tuburan National High School is indeed a huge school which has 32 sections in total for just the Senior High School Department alone, 16 sections for grade 11 and 16 sections for grade 12. That's quite a lot of learners, right? So hopefully, we will be one of the solutions to one of the problems they are facing - the lack of teachers. We have finally filled in the vacancies and we are more than ready to do our best for our dear Tuburan National High School.
