Not all women love to wear makeup, but once a woman is passionate about it, it will make them feel like they look better.

My wife loves doing makeovers on other people's faces. She's been dreaming of having a set of makeup, but because it's no longer a priority on our list, we never had the chance to purchase it due to its expensive price. I have shared with you in one of my blogs that we prepared a class pictorial of our learners at DNHS. A friend helped us purchase the needed materials and some equipment. My wife's dream came true in an unexpected event.

She started using the newly purchased makeup set on May 3 and 4 during the class pictorial. 121 male and female learners were her first clients, with the help of one of our student teachers, Virnie Lou. Virnie is a diligent and hardworking student-teacher. She strives for excellence in everything she does. She deserves to be appreciated for her contributions to the school in such a short period of time.

Two days of doing makeovers for the 121 learners were both satisfying and tiring. My wife's back was aching, and her legs got muscle cramps. But she never regretted it; instead, she was so grateful to the learners, for they were the reason for granting her the set she had been dreaming of having a long time ago.

After the completion and graduation pictorial, she had an appointment for the teachers' night of the Municipality of Tabogon. Her co-teacher, Ma'am Suset, went to our house last May 16 and had some beautiful color on her face for the educators' party at the town's sports complex.

My wife also receives makeup appointments for the completion and graduation ball of our learners. We accepted it, even at a lower price, because we wanted to help them. They are still learners, and they have no work. We had a makeover at the school. There were 10 clients on that day, including three of my co-teachers.

I am so happy to see my wife pursuing her passion. I even wanted to purchase more in the future so that she could enhance her skills and enjoy what she loves. She's not doing it to earn a lot. She's doing it to help others look and feel better. She knows how it feels when a woman is interested in wearing makeup but can't because of the price. I support my wife in everything she does. I am her encouragement, her strength, and the one who pushes her to be the best she can be.

Right after the Masquerade Ball, some of the learners booked an appointment for their completion and graduation ceremonies. We received four at first, but on the day of the completion and graduation ceremony, there were seven learners who arrived at school. We were very tired on this day since I'd been preparing the program invitation, decorations, and the Baccalaureate Mass. My wife also attended their school's recognition ceremony, but it doesn't stop us from rendering service to the people who need us.

Cynthia and Kristine, CTU-STs, also enjoyed their moment doing their makeup.

She started at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon and finished 10 minutes before 3:00 o'clock. At least the learners had enough time to travel to the venue. She's not supposed to do the hairdo, but Virnie arrived to help. So the learners were very happy that they received a service beyond the amount they gave. Looking at their joyful faces on the day of their completion and graduation ceremony made us feel happy too.

These experiences reminded me of those important events in our lives. During our wedding day, I asked Dawn, our coordinator, to hire an artist who is good at fresh-looking makeup. I always choose what's best for her. Even the hairdo and the accessories she will wear. Of course, she must look beautiful in my eyes first. But with or without makeup, I always see her as naturally beautiful.

Most of the time, when my wife uses her phone, she's watching makeup tutorials on YouTube or even on Facebook. Sometimes I join her in watching because she will ask me to see the process. I experienced doing makeup in college. My major subject is Technology and Livelihood Education—Home Economics Technology. One of its foci is cosmetology. But I just chose a beautiful model before so that I could present a beautiful output (LOL).

Her passion helped us divert our attention. From being so down to being inspired to move forward. Many people helped us overcome our struggles. Like this makeup, it could hide the sadness on the face. It can give someone a color that will give them the confidence to face the world. I hope one day the B/W moments of our lives will be colored with prosperity and success. May it be granted so soon.
