When Watching Arthur Nery Turns To A Meet Up With SensibleCast

This semester made me so busy with a great timing for the Masskara Festival celebration. I never much have thought that I could still enjoy the events this time. However, I made time to attend a concert this weekend, supposedly, since it is the highlights of the Festival. It is said that Arthur Nery will visit Bacolod during this Masskara highlights. I haven't been in his concert at the New Government Center last year for some reasons, so I wanted to watch him for sure this time.

Yet, things don't always go as planned. When @sensiblecast said he was visiting Bacolod, I was more excited to meet a friend than seeing a celebrity.

There's a road blockage from the downtown area to the metro area since it is where the people gather during these events. To avoid accidents while celebrating, they have closed the main roads to give way for the crowd and the merchants for business.

As I was taking the road alone, the crowd is getting thicker as it gets nearer to the main venue of events. Traffic jams, and signal jamming as well for safety precautions due to visits of celebrities, politicians, and some important guests. It was also said that the main reason was the visit of the President and the First Lady, but they didn't let the crowd see their presence, though. They only visits the City Mayor, and left after they're done with whatever business they have here.

I stopped here for a while to contact him, but we couldn't hear each other in a call because of the loud music played by the live bands in the area. Different bands performed there like Shamrock and Typecast, there are some artists on next street like Arthur Ney and Kz Tandingan, then there's also some local bands performing in the streets of Lacson until the morning.

While it's fun to jam with the songs they're playing, the scene was too dangerous for it's too crowded. One way only, suffocating, too hot, and too risky for a stampede. I would rather go home right away than diving into sea of people.

I went here because he's there in the crowd trying to watch the band playing. It's surely too crowded in the stage, so I stayed here in the sidewalk, not to get caught by the stream of people. Some are wreckless and careless, they wouldn't care if they have bumped into another person just to passed through to another area and the mixed of odors from the heat, though. I can't stand it, haha!

I've meet one of my classmates along the way, trying to find their friends also. We have meet finally after ages of locating each other. I waved on his face 'caused he doesn't notice me approaching. So we're like happy kiddos here seeing each other after long years.

We went back to Ayala Capitol to have coffee as we've agreed before the meetup. A late night coffee conversation, not a common thing but caffeine really don't work on me. I'm not just so sure with @sensiblecast 'cause he ordered the same.

Here we are at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and it's just next to Starbucks where @wittyzell and me had our coffee when we first meet. The meetup that has extended to an adventure in another island.

And a slice of cheesecake!

My eyes were fixed on it as we approached the counter, lol. So I let Mebu order for us as I look for an available table. Then, random conversations about Hive kicked in as a starter, to how he is enjoying his Bacolod trip with his family here, back to Hive until it ends there. It was already 12 midnight when we finished our cups. Time is quite short to have a conversation with a friend.

I catch a ride on a modern jeep going home while he walks to his hotel. We haven't seen each other again the next day 'cause he already went back to Manila, and I also have some other commitments to attend.

And, that's all, hope I can be there at the next meetup, so I can meet most of the staff and members of Hive PH.
