Sweet Nothings from a Beer Can.

Fall is here, the days are shorter and the weather is changing. Warm, and even a few hot days, intermixed with cold and freezing ones. Cold mornings turning into warm afternoons. I find that this transition period tends to be a hard time on the average human body. For me at least. The difficulty can be seen in how many people start to get colds this time of year. This is all to say that I haven't been in the mood to drink very many beers lately. I drank the one in my post several weeks ago now and have been waiting to have another one to add to my #Beersaturday review post. But alas, I haven't drank another beer since, so I guess I'll just go ahead and post about one beer this time around. I've had this one before but let's have another look at it anyway. "Daddy" needs more crypto so here we go. Let's talk about sweet nothings from a beer can. PS I'm daddy in this case. Ha!

Marketing: Sweet nothings whispered by a beer can. Who wouldnt love that? "Somebody Loves you."

Who me? Well shucks. It's a funny thing to write on a beer can but who doesn't love a few words of affirmation every now and then? Stained glass window imagery common among the brewery's marketing. The brewery is housed inside an old church building. Haunting woodland creatures with ghostly eyes are a part of the design, which I like. Nice can. Interesting and effective.

Color: The beer poured a dark chestnut Brown with a ruby red hue to it and had a nice amount of tan colored head on top. It looked rich and inviting.

Nose: Sweet and malty with some fruity notes. Pleasant overall.

Taste: Sweet but with a fair amount bitterness to balance it all out. Dark fruit and some cocoa notes came through for me. I didn't notice any of the nutty notes that the can mentions but sometimes the subtle characteristics of a beer are lost on me. My sense of smell isn't the greatest. Nice flavor overall though.

Texture: Nice soft carbonated texture. Medium bodied. Pretty standard texture overall.

Impression: I've reviewed this beer in the past and I enjoyed it this time around as much as I did back then. I like all of the Beers from this brewery actually and generally purchase any that I can find in stores. Lots of flavor and character and fresh ingredients. Maybe it's just the can talking but it's the type of beer that makes you feel loved by the brewers that produced it. I would even have another if I had one handy.

Cheers everyone!
