En unos post anteriores les conté sobre mi viaje a la ciudad de Maracaibo para comprar los útiles que quería donar a niños necesitados.
Cuando llegué a casa, me dediqué a armar los combos. Tomé los bolsos y dentro agregué:
- 3 cuadernos
- 1 caja de creyones
- 3 lapices
- 1 borrador
- 1 sacapuntas
- 2 borradores de flores
Pude preparar 7 combos para 7 niños, me sentía muy feliz de poder entregar esto.
Como me enfermé le pedí a los niños que se acercaran a mi casa para entregarles allí los combos.

In a previous post I told you about my trip to the city of Maracaibo to buy the supplies I wanted to donate to needy children.
When I got home, I put together the combos. I took the bags and added inside:
- 3 notebooks
- 1 box of crayons
- 3 pencils
- 1 eraser
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 2 flower erasers
I was able to prepare 7 combos for 7 children, I was very happy to be able to deliver this.
As I got sick I asked the children to come to my house to give them the combos.
La primera en asistir fue una niña pequeña, a ella le entregué un kit con bolso de Sirena y también le obsequié una chemisse roja para el preescolar que logré consegui a través de donaciones.
Todos estos útiles los compré con mis ahorros y con una colaboración que conseguí con un Padre de República Dominicana. Este padre siempre colabora conmigo en mis labores sociales y es algo que aprecio mucho.
Luego de la niña, vino un niño que es primo de la niña. Estaba muy feliz con su combo.
The first one to attend was a little girl, I gave her a kit with a Sirena bag and I also gave her a red chemise for preschool that I was able to get through donations.
All these supplies were bought with my savings and with a collaboration I got with a father from the Dominican Republic. This father always collaborates with me in my social work and it is something I appreciate very much.
After the girl, came a boy who is the girl's cousin. He was very happy with his combo.

Los niños continuaron llegando, y fue cuando conocí a Génesis.
Génesis es una niña autista de 15 años pero, mentalmente tiene 10.
Génesis llegó con su papá y fue una historia que me conmovió de gran manera. Me contó que trabaja en el cementerio cortando el monte, lo cual no genera un enorme salario y su esposa tiene la misma condición que la niña.
Me contó con lagrimas en los ojos que su situación es muy difícil y con admiración me dijo ''Tienes una casa muy hermosa''. Mi corazón dolía cada vez que me contaba algo y con el comentario de la casa sentí arrepentimiento por haberme quejado de cosas mínimas tantas veces, de no saber valorar lo que tengo, porque tengo mucho más que otros.
Génesis estaba muy feliz con su combo, incluso me tomó una foto con el teléfono de su papá.
Cuando se marcharon el señor me pidió que ''no me olvidara de ellos'' y que los tuviera presentes para trabajos u otras donaciones.
The kids kept coming, and that's when I met Genesis.
Genesis is a 15 year old autistic girl, but mentally she is 10 years old.
Genesis came with her dad and it was a story that touched me in a big way. He told me that he works in the cemetery cutting the bush, which does not generate a huge salary and his wife has the same condition as the girl.
He told me with tears in his eyes that his situation is very difficult and with admiration he said, “You have a beautiful house. My heart ached every time he told me something and with the comment about the house I felt regret for having complained about the smallest things so many times, for not knowing how to value what I have, because I have much more than others.
Genesis was very happy with her combo, she even took a picture of me with her dad's phone.
When they left, the man asked me ''not to forget them'' and to keep them in mind for jobs or other donations.
De último llegó una niña, tenía 6 años. Su papá estaba muy agradecido por el combo y yo solo tenía un nudo en la garganta por no poder hacer más.
La niña me prometió estudiar y sacar el máximo provecho a ese combo.
Yo pedía a Dios internamente para que me permitiera hacer más por esta comunidad.
Last came a little girl, she was 6 years old. Her dad was very grateful for the combo and I just had a lump in my throat for not being able to do more.
The girl promised me to study and make the most of the combo.
I prayed to God internally to allow me to do more for this community.
Esta última niña me contó que le gusta danzar y que lo hace en su iglesia. Estuvimos un rato conversando antes de que se marcharan.
Me sobraron 3 combos y uno de ellos se lo obsequié a una niña de la academia, la cual también lo necesita.
Salomé estaba súper contenta con su combo y su mamá también me agradeció por el gesto.
Este tipo de acciones me llenan el alma y me generan mucha satisfacción de poder ser un agente de cambio.

This last girl told me that she likes to dance and that she does it in her church. We chatted for a while before they left.
I had 3 combos left over and I gave one of them to a girl at the academy, who also needs it.
Salome was very happy with her combo and her mom also thanked me for the gesture.
These types of actions fill my soul and give me great satisfaction to be an agent of change.
