She, Carmen, has been a woman who has always loved everything that has to do with art.
Carmen is my beloved mother, and if we are talking about memories, for me, this is one of the most significant. In April of this year, she celebrated her 96th birthday, and she is in perfect health and perfect mind.
In these two photographs, Carmen is presenting the characteristics of each of her works to those attending the inauguration. Emphasizing her naïf style. This is why the exhibition is called “Las Ingenuidades de Carmen” This event was held in 2011, in the exhibition hall of the house of culture located in the colonial quarter of Petare, in the municipality of Sucre.
Painters, poets, musicians and neighbors, who were interested in meeting the exhibitor, were willing to share this beautiful moment for her, as well as for us, her relatives. I tell you that before this exhibition, she already had, to her credit, three exhibitions, where she shared the room with other painters. I am very proud of her.
At present, my beautiful Carmen does not stop painting, she is consistent with her greatest hobby. She continues to paint flowers, animals, houses, and everything her imagination allows her. She is very lucid. Here she is in the garden of her house. As you can see, in her chair, to move around more comfortably, she still moves by herself, but it is a measure to avoid unnecessary exhaustion.
Different afternoons, and different creations. I just want to keep seeing her like this, concentrated, immersed in her brushes and inspired by some landscape or floral fantasy. She is my Carmen. The artist of my illusions, of my desires. I ask God to allow her to continue painting and being happy.

Hoy jueves de TBT, quiero que todos conozcan a Carmen y sus ingenuidades.
Ella, Carmen, ha sido una mujer que siempre le ha gustado, todo lo que tiene que ver con el arte.
Carmen es mi adorada madre, y si hablar de recuerdos se trata, para mí, este es uno de los más significativos. Es más, en abril de este año, cumplió sus 96 abriles, y está perfecta de salud y de mente.
En estas dos fotografías, Carmen, está presentando las características de cada una de sus obras, ante los asistentes a la inauguración. Destacándose el estilo naif. Es por ello, que la exposición lleva por nombre, "Las Ingenuidades de Carmen" Este evento se realizó en el año 2011, en el salón de exposiciones de la casa de la cultura ubicada en el casco colonial de Petare, en el municipio Sucre.
Asistieron pintores, poetas, músicos y vecinos, que interesados por conocer a la expositora, se dispusieron a compartir este hermoso momento tanto para ella, como para nosotros, sus familiares. Les cuento que antes de esta exposición, ya tenía, en su haber, tres exposiciones, donde compartió sala con otros pintores. Es mi gran orgullo.
En la actualidad, mi hermosa Carmen, no cesa de pintar, es
consecuente con su mayor afición. Continúa pintando flores, animales, casas, y todo cuanto su imaginación le permite. Está muy lúcida. Acá está en el jardín de su casa. Como pueden observar, en su silla para trasladarse con mayor comodidad, ella aún se moviliza sola, pero es una medida para evitar agotamientos innecesarios.
Tardes diferentes, y creaciones diferentes. Solo la quiero seguir viendo así, concentrada, embebida en sus pinceles e inspirada en algún paisaje, o fantasía floral. Ella, es mi Carmen. La artista de mis ilusiones, de mis querencias. Pido a Dios, que me le permita continuar pintando y siendo feliz.
