Hello, friends of Hive! I hope you’re having a lovely day and that God blesses you. It’s a pleasure to pop in here and bring back some lovely memories. They say that ‘to remember is to relive’. How wonderful it is to recall those beautiful moments that bring joy to our hearts!
Today I want to tell you about one of the first outings I went on with my boyfriend. On this occasion, we went on a trip to Soroa, where we were also joined by the young people from my boyfriend Ronald’s church. We were quite a large group. I remember that before we arrived that day, I was worried about whether the young people from Ronald’s church would like me, and whether I’d be able to fit in. Actually, what worried me most was whether I’d be able to cope with the hills we’d have to climb on the route.
¡Hola amigos de Hive! Mi deseo es que tengan un hermoso día y que Dios los bendiga. Es un placer pasar por acá a traer a la memoria lindos recuerdos. Dicen que "recordar es volver a vivir". ¡Cuán bueno es rememorar bellos momentos que nos alegran el corazón!
Hoy quiero hablarles de una de las primeras salidas que hice con mi novio. En esta ocasión fuimos a Soroa a una excursión donde también nos acompañaron los jóvenes de la iglesia de mi novio Ronald. Éramos un grupo bien grande. Recuerdo que antes de llegar ese día me preocupaba si le agradaría a los jóvenes de la iglesia de Ronald, si me lograría integrar. Realmente lo que más me preocupaba era saber si podría resistir las lomas que tendríamos que subir en el recorrido.
Looking back on the past with hindsight, I realise that many of the fears we have today about things that ‘might go wrong’ are, in truth, unfounded. When we live in a state of worry, we fail to enjoy the present moment to the full, and time has shown us that we should never have stressed ourselves out without a specific reason.
I’ll tell you that the young people at my boyfriend’s church couldn’t have been more affectionate and attentive. In no time at all, I’ve become one of the family and I feel at home amongst them. And as for the physical effort I had to put in… yes, I did have to walk quite a lot, but thank God I’m young and the exercise did me good. Because at the top of the mountains there was an incredible view, reserved only for the brave souls who decide to reach the summit. Life is the same. Sometimes we look at others who are doing very well and we might think it’s just luck, without realising that before reaching the summit, they had to climb very steep mountains all on their own.
Hoy mirando con sabiduría el pasado, reconozco que muchos de los miedos que nos preocupan hoy por cosas que "podrían suceder mal", en verdad no tienen razón de ser. Viviendo preocupados no disfrutamos a plenitud el momento presente y el tiempo nos demuestra que jamás debimos estresarnos sin una razón concreta.
Les cuento que los jóvenes de la iglesia de mi novio no pudieron ser más cariñosos y atentos. En poco tiempo me he vuelto una más de la familia y entre ellos me siento en casa. Y sobre el esfuerzo físico que tuve que hacer... sí tuve que caminar bastante pero gracias a Dios soy joven y me vino bien el ejercicio. Porque al final de las montañas había una vista increíble solo para los valientes que se deciden a llegar a la cima. En la vida es igual. A veces miramos a otros que les va muy bien y podemos pensar que es suerte, sin saber que antes de llegar a la cima tuvieron que escalar solos montañas muy empinadas.
My favourite part was swimming in the natural pool; the water was very cold, but it was so hot that my body really appreciated it. We had a brilliant time. The beauty of nature never ceased to captivate us at every turn, and the atmosphere was so lovely that I’ll always look back on that day with fondness.
As it was one of the first outings my boyfriend and I had been on, it was lovely to get to know each other better. To discover that I love making him those mayonnaise biscuits and that he really enjoys it when I do. That day we didn’t just venture into the heart of nature, but also into each other’s hearts. Seeing him as a hard-working, funny, kind, good friend and loving man. Above all, seeing how much the young people at his church love and admire him confirmed something I already knew. God had given me a great treasure to look after: the heart of a wonderful man.
Mi parte favorita fue bañarme en la piscina natural, el agua era muy fría pero hacía tanto calor que mi cuerpo lo agradeció mucho. Nos divertimos un montón. La belleza de la naturaleza no dejaba de cautivarnos a cada paso y era un ambiente tan agradable que siempre recordaré con cariño ese día.
Como fue de las primeras salidas que hacíamos mi novio y yo, fue hermoso conocernos más a profundidad. Descubrir que me encanta prepararle las galletas con mayonesa y que él disfruta muchísimo que yo lo haga. Ese día no solo nos adentramos al corazón de la naturaleza, sino también al corazón de ambos. Verlo como un hombre diligente, divertido, amable, buen amigo, cariñoso. Sobre todo ver cuánto lo quieren y lo admiran los jóvenes de su iglesia, me confirmó algo que ya sabía. Dios me había entregado un gran tesoro para cuidar, el corazón de un hombre maravilloso.
That day, when we reached the highest point, Alejandro, one of the young people from the church, shared a Bible message with us. It gave us a chance to reflect and rest a little. I’ll never forget that wonderful experience. Not just because it was such a beautiful place, but because of the special moments I shared with such incredible people. A big hug to you all. Ese día al llegar al punto más alto, Alejandro, uno de los jóvenes de la iglesia estuvo compartiendo una enseñanza bíblica. Así pudimos meditar y también descansar un poco. Nunca olvidaré está experiencia tan linda. No solamente porque era un lugar precioso sino por los momentos tan especiales que viví acompañada de personas increíbles. Un abrazo grande a todos.
