I recently travelled to Bath for a weekend getaway. The Airbnb was on a hillside and promised views of the surrounding area.
Unfortunately weather wasn't on our side during the stay except for the final day, we could barely see anything at the end of the garden. At night, sods law it was clear and we could see across the valley and the houses lit up, I imagine it's similar LA or the Cinque Terra.
Here's a shot during the day.
On the plus side, I found a gap in the fog and sent the drone up for a quick look about.
The view was pretty spectacular- the very top of the hill at around 200m high was still visible, the valley was almost filled to the brim and long shadows were thrown across the top of the fog.
Somewhere down there to the left of the image is central Bath.
