PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape - The Pasta Junction

Hello everyone,

I recently travelled to Birmingham for work. On the way I stopped off at spaghetti junction! There's a public park right next to it which helps capture some great angles and hyperlapses.

The winding and spiralling roads somehow combine to create a seamless experience for road users looking to get to or circumnavigate the city. From above the design makes total sense and it was the simplest way to handle so much traffic.

I was unfortunate that the sun was positioned directly at the drone but it handled the light well. The green fractals in the two bottom corners are a result of this but I quite like how it looks.

Next I headed north to a housing estate with a unique symmetrical design. When I arrived, it turned out they are new builds on land that was once part of a grand estate including a repurposed gatehouse.

The lakes and woods to the north of the area has been retained and the area gave off a private gated community vibe.

Great Barr Hall looks like it has been derelict for a long time and beyond repair but it's a really interesting subject to photograph.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to wander the streets of Birmingham to get a sense of the city, I prioritised getting up in the air and having a look about instead. Maybe next time.
See you soon!
