The Brent Cross area of north London is best known for the A406 and the huge shopping centre. Every time I pass through, it seems another new development hasn't been finished before the next one begins. There's always something on the go. It's very well connected for everything but pedestrians!
The area has a mash up of old and new. The priorities of developments over the years is evident - just right of centre, some blocks have a lot of land around, then compare that to the new development to the left of centre, that is all the way to the boundary and little green space.
So strange to see the immediate land around a shopping centre is desolate.
If you have seen my previous posts, I seem to be drawn to oddly designed estates. This one below is almost triangular shape but then there is an 'island' area in the centre.
This one below is just a mixture of different materials that the houses are built from.
I had a small problem creating a panorama of the estate seen below.
It is shaped like an aspirin capsule, I flew alongside and took about five shots to cover the area then attempted to stitch them all together in Lightroom. I guess the software didn't like the change in perspective along the path the drone took and couldn't work out where to join buildings?
I took another pano just after to see what the difference would be in post. The output image is incredibly warped as it is from a single point in the air.
Has anyone else had the same thing happen with stitching together an image? Every day is a learning day!
Until the next time.
